Learn how to easily obtain the Durafiber Fabric in Star Wars Outlaws — a key item used to unlock new abilities for Kay Vess.
The Durafiber Fabric is a key item that you need to find to unlock a new ability for Kay in Star Wars Outlaws. As you progress through the story, you will reach the Mechanic – Selo Rovak. They will ask you to collect rare crafting materials to help upgrade Kay’s toolkit.
The Durafiber Fabric is required to upgrade Kay Vess’ pouch abilities, i.e., carrying capacity. You will need to obtain other resources like the eight Coarseweave and four Robuma to increase the carrying capacity of the Bacta Vials and grenades. This is extremely important as Kay will be able to use her tools more often and get out of some really tricky situations with ease.
Thankfully, finding the Durafiber isn’t particularly difficult. Once you meet up with Selo Rovak, the Durafiber Fabric location gets marked on the map. However, reaching the marked location will require some ingenuity.
Unlock Conditions for the Durafiber Fabric
To obtain the Durafiber Fabric, you first need to progress through the main story and meet up with Selo Rovak. Furthermore, you will also need to make your way over to Toshara and Jaunta’s Hope. While trying to collect the Durafiber Fabric, you will come across a restricted zone guarded by the Crimson Dawn. You will need to get past the Crimson Dawn area to reach the treasure chest containing the Durafiber Fabric.
Here are the steps involved in obtaining the Durafiber Fabric in Star Wars Outlaws:
- Reach the far western edge of Toshara and locate a giant ramp that can be crossed using the Speeder’s boost ability.
- After crossing the ramp, you will reach a restricted encampment guarded by the Crimson Dawn.
- Sneak past the Crimson Dawn guards and stick to the path to the left.
- Find the Durafiber Fabric inside a chest past the guarded outpost, alongside other rare crafting resources.
How to Obtain the Durafiber Fabric in Star Wars Outlaws
To unlock the Durafiber Fabric in Star Wars Outlaws, first go to the far west side of Toshara. Since the Durafiber Fabric is an Expert key part, it’ll get marked on the map automatically. From the western edge of Toshara, move to the point that’s at the epicenter of the Boulder Forest and Lost Steppe borders on the map. At this location, you will find a wide ramp, which you can cross using the Speeder’s boost ability. Upon reaching the other side of the plateau, you will come across a Crimson Dawn outpost, which is a restricted area.
There are two ways to get past the outpost. You can either go all gun blazing, or, better, you can stick to the shadows. Stealth is the best option here. In the early hours of Star Wars Outlaws, Kay isn’t particularly well-equipped to take on a full outpost. However, since there are only five guards in this small outpost, you can choose offense, without any major repercussions.
Stay on the left side path after entering the outpost. That way, you won’t even have to engage with more than two guards before reaching the treasure chest. After getting past the guards, Kay Vess will arrive near a door that houses the chest containing the Durafiber Fabric. The door is quite hard to miss as it has a lightsaber on top.
Loot the treasure chest to obtain the Durafiber Fabric and other useful crafting resources. Do note that, after obtaining the Durafiber Fabric, the Expert intel marker will be removed from the map automatically.
