During his introduction, Chojuro was a shy and meek boy who acted as a bodyguard to the fifth Mizukage, Mei Terumi. Despite his young age, he was immensely talented, being accepted into the ranks of the Kirigakure’s Seven Ninja Swordsmen of the Mist, which Zabuza had been notoriously part of.

His valor is fully displayed in his battle against Urashiki Otsutsuki, where he tries to subdue the target. While this attempt failed, he later captured Kinshiki Otsutsuki after being transported to the other dimension.
