Kaien’s death due to the Hollow and at Rukia’s hands significantly impacted Ganju, who began hating Soul Reapers. Similarly, she easily forgives Rukia later, assessing that Kaien’s death wasn’t the Soul Reaper’s fault.

She also possesses the Reishukaku, her clan’s device which forms a protective layer and allows wielders to get past the Seireitei’s barrier. Apart from the inventions she can use masterfully, Kukaku is also a powerful fighter.
She has high spiritual pressure and can use strong abilities such as Raikoho – a lightning Kido spell powerful enough to defeat Higonyudo. Kukaku is also physically capable enough to beat down both Ichigo and Ganju.
Kukaku’s Role in Bleach
After teaching Ichigo the use of the Reishukaku and sending him to the Seireitei, Kukaku defeated Higonyudo, a gatekeeper who had been manipulated by Aizen. Following the end of the chaos, she was visited by Rukia, who wished to apologize for killing Kaien.
In a poignant moment, Kukaku immediately forgave her, inviting her into her household. While Kukaku did not return to the series for a long time after this, she finally appeared in the Thousand-Year Blood War Arc.
When Ichigo and Squad Zero needed to be launched into the Soul King Palace, they sought Kukaku’s help. Sensing that the world would be doomed if Ichigo didn’t gain greater strength, she assisted them. In a shock, it was also revealed that Kukaku had saved the Fullbringers Ginjo and Tsukishima. They had been training at her estate and would prove to be vital in the final battle against Yhwach.
