The One Punch Man series has introduced a wide range of heroes. This is due to the story’s setting. This animanga series is set in a world where monsters run rampant, and heroes step up to protect the human race. An organization exists to recruit some of the strongest heroes and help humanity should any entity threaten their existence. The existence of an organization implies the presence of a hierarchy. Naturally, these heroes are ranked based on their abilities as a hero. Those who haven’t watched both seasons of the anime might have one question in mind – who is the No.1 hero in One Punch Man?

Blast is the No.1 hero in the One Punch Man series. There are various ranks within the organization. Among the numerous categories, the S-class heroes are the most powerful ones on the planet. Even among them, Blast is the most powerful hero. In fact, there is a reason why he isn’t seen all that much in the anime and manga series. As a hero, his responsibilities aren’t limited to the confines of the planet.

He fights battles in various dimensions and also has a team of like-minded people who happen to be his comrades. Those who have read the manga will know that Blast is one of the most powerful heroes and he protects the planet from interdimensional threats which the human race isn’t even aware of.

About the No.1 Hero in One Punch Man

Blast is a tall and muscular man who can be seen collecting odd black-colored cubes in the One Punch Man series. What anime-only fans might not know is that the cubes in question allows for entities to communicate with God. This is a mysterious entity that gave Homeless Emperor and Garou their powers in the Monster Association arc. Blast only allows a handful of people to communicate with him, and one of them is Tatsumaki.

She doesn’t particularly show respect to anyone within the organization. However, her demeanor towards Blast is quite different, showcasing just how powerful he is in the series.

Blast married a woman named Maya, whose true name was Selenian Luna. She hails from the same village as Empty Void and happens to be his younger sister. Following this, Blast gave birth to a son who is later introduced in the Neo Heroes Saga of the original webcomic series.

Furthermore, Blast also happens to be one of the only people who has gone toe-to-toe with God and survived. Therefore, he is an important character in the series who will reveal crucial information surrounding the potential final antagonist of the One Punch Man series.

Blast’s Abilities in One Punch Man

Blast has one ability that isn’t spoken of much among fans. When he first met Tatsumake and saved her, he saw a vision revealing Fubuki’s existence and her relationship with Tatsumaki. Therefore, Blast can read minds or contains some psychic powers in the One Punch Man series. Furthermore, he can manipulate space and time. This results in his ability to manage various dimensions and ensure their safety.

The No.1 hero can also create portals in the One Punch Man series. From this, he can create spherical zones, which can, in turn manipulate and teleport massive structures. He also can manipulate gravity, throwing his opponent’s balance off during fights. We are yet to see Blast’s true potential in the series. However, fans have gotten a glimpse of his abilities in One Punch Man, and there is no doubt why he is called the No.1 hero in the organization.

Blast’s Most Notable Feats in One Punch Man

One of the most impressive feats in the manga is his performance against Cosmic Fear Mode Garou. Not only was Garou completely monsterized, but he also had a portion of God’s powers. As a result, Garou fully understood the flow of all energies, which allowed him to impart nuclear fission and fusion in his attacks. He also managed to travel back in time. Blast managed to stand his ground against this monster. This gave fans a glimpse of Blast’s endurance in a battle.

Flashy Flash is considered to be one of the fastest fighters on the planet. He used the “Maximum Speed: Flash Kicks” against Blast. However, Blast managed to teleport right behind Flashy Flash, which caught him off guard. Furthermore, massive energy was created when Saitama and Cosmic Fear Mode Garou collided. The entire planet could have suffered from this since it would have negatively affected the entire dimension.

It was Blast who mitigated this and ensured that the planet was safe. He was unaffected by Garou’s radiation which killed other heroes present there. He also managed to generate enough power to send Cosmic Fear Mode Garou flying in the One Punch Man manga.

Is Blast Stronger than Saitama in One Punch Man?

It’s quite hard to place both these characters since we don’t know Blast’s true potential. However, we can say with absolute certainty that Saitama will eventually surpass Blast if he hasn’t done that already. This is because of the narrator’s statements in the manga during the Monster Association arc. The narrator revealed that Saitama exhibits constant growth and has infinite potential.

This means his powers have no limits, and he will eventually be stronger than the No.1 hero. However, it’s quite possible that the Caped Baldy is already stronger than Blast since he could time travel and quite literally destroy a planet because of his sneeze.
