Twitch streamer Asmongold has agreed to moderate a debate between political commentator Hasan Piker and H3 Podcast’s Ethan Klein.
YouTuber Ethan Klein published multiple videos targeting Twitch streamer and political commentator Hasan “HasanAbi” Piker with allegations of antisemitism, misogyny, and sexism. Piker did not watch the videos but called out Klein and asked the YouTuber to debate him. Twitch streamer Zack “Asmongold” Hoyt reacted to Klein’s content about Piker and agreed to moderate a debate between the two feuding content creators.
HasanAbi and Ethan Klein used to have podcasts together until the Israel-Palestine conflict escalated in 2023. Klein is pro-Israel, while Piker aligns with the Palestinians, which caused a difference in political ideologies between the two creators. Piker has called Israel an “apartheid state,” which caused disagreements between the two content creators.
Piker and Klein stopped working together in 2023, but they continue to call each other out in their content. Asmongold wants to step in and settle the feud between the two creators, but neither party has agreed so far.
Asmongold Defends Hasanabi’s Decision To Ignore Ethan Klein’s “Content Nuke”
After Ethan Klein posted his first “content nuke,” he wanted Piker to respond to it. Piker refused to watch the video and said he was open to debating Klein directly. Klein refused to debate Piker until he watched the video, which brought the feud to a standstill. Asmongold reacted to Klein’s videos about HasanAbi on February 9, 2025. Asmongold’s audience asked if he would be willing to moderate the debate, and the streamer responded:
“Fine with me. Oh, you think I would ever refuse content? Hasan would never? Well, he was the one that initiated it. Hasan wanted to debate Ethan himself. Yeah, so, I don’t know what you mean by that.”

Another viewer called out Piker for not reacting to Ethan Klein’s allegation video. Asmongold defended Piker’s decision to ignore the content nuke video, stating:
“Makes sense why he wouldn’t want to platform a video that’s negative about him. I think that you shouldn’t expect him to.”
Ethan Klein has not agreed to a debate so far. He claimed that a debate would only lead to Hasan using his “debate lord tactics” and drowning out his points.
Asmon Does Not Want Twitch To Ban Hasanabi
Ethan Klein created his allegation videos using HasanAbi’s Twitch clips from 2023 and 2024. He claimed that Twitch plays favorites and holds different content creators to different standards. Asmongold has criticized Twitch for “inconsistent moderation” in the past, but he said that Twitch should not ban Piker for what he said in the past.
At 3:38:04 of Asmon’s latest video on the drama, the Twitch streamer says:
“I don’t want Hasan to be retroactively banned for comments he made last year. No. I don’t like the precedent that sets and I don’t like that to happen to me. I feel like that there could be comments I made two years ago or three years ago and get me banned for them.”
The streamer said that he felt that way due to “self-preservation” and the bad precedent it could set on Twitch’s moderation policies. He wants Twitch to moderate current and future content instead of taking action on any streamer’s past comments.
