Not long ago, Larian Studios introduced new features and changes to trading and bartering in Patch 6, which was released on February 16, 2024. For example, when trading, you can now sell items from your entire party. Today, Developers introduced Hotfix #18, addressing trading and bartering bugs that resulted from those improvements so players can get rich without interruptions.
The following outlines the key fixes introduced in Hotfix #18 for Baldur’s Gate 3.
- Vendors have gold again: The bug where vendors’ gold amount was displayed as 0 gold is now fixed, and they should have the correct amount of gold now.
- Trading and Bartering: Small bugs related to trading fixed.
- Game Crash: Developers fixed a bug that caused the game to crash when players entered the bartering menu in the vendor UI.

As always, if you’re experiencing issues after installing the latest update, please check whether the issue persists with your mods uninstalled. As mods aren’t officially supported at the moment, some installed mods may become temporarily incompatible with new patches and hotfixes.

- Fixed an issue that would cause vendors to initially display their current gold amount as zero.
