Stellar Crown releases the chance to open pack after pack of glittering goodness. The set focuses on Stellar Pokémon—strange, crystal-like creatures with rainbow crowns that appear in the Area Zero Underdepths after Terapagos ex. Among all these sparkling cards, a few stand out even more. These are the cards that players and collectors are most excited to find out. This expansion introduces Stellar-type Pokémon, giving us some of the most beautiful cards we’ve seen in the Scarlet & Violet series so far.
Best Cards for Pokemon TCG
Stellar Crown is the best Pokémon set that offers new attackers, Trainers, and supporter Pokémon. Each one of them plays a crucial role in the game but some are more impactful and some are less. So, we make a complete list of all the top Pokemon Cards and rank them wisely. The below list shows the best cards for Pokemon TCG from best to worst.

1) Terapagos ex
Terapagos ex has 230 hit points and it’s a Terra Pokemon, so it works with all of the knock tap and the area zero under depth stuff. This also works well with Bouffalant and has a very efficient first attack. Unified Beatdown costs two colorless energy and does 30 damage for each of your own benched Pokemon. You can’t use it on the first turn of the game going second. That kind of seems like a funny nerf to put on Terapagos ex as the game designers continue to ramp up the speed and aggression of the format.
2) Galvantula ex
Galvantula ex has 260 hit points along with the two attacks. Charged Web does 110 damage plus 110 more damage if the defending Pokemon is a Pokemon ex or Pokemon V. That’s a two-energy attack that can do 220 damage which one hit KO’S most basic Pokemon ex and Pokemon V. Some outliners have 230 hit points or 240 hit points.
Fulgurite causes grass lightning and fighting energy and does 180 damage. You have to discard all energy from this Pokemon but during your opponent’s next turn, they can’t play any item cards from their hands. 180-damage item lock is a very potent attack being able to knock out enemies like Galvantula ex can be a meta staple but the attacks on this Pokemon are at least interesting.
3) Glass Trumpet
If you want to accelerate basic energy to your Terapagos ex you can do it very easily with the amazing new Glass Trumpet item. You can only play if you have Tera Pokemon in play. You get to choose up to two of your benched colorless Pokemon and attach a basic energy card from your discard pile to each of them.
This card is like a double dark patch for a basic colorless Pokemon. This a very easy condition to satisfy If you do plan on playing a basic energy version of Terapagos ex then Glass Trumpet is going to be your best friend. Glass Trumpet is also good for powering up Terapagos ex in other decks like if you happen to be playing Palkia V Star. Pair it with Blissey ex to let you move a Basic Energy from one of your Pokémon to another. Pokémon like Dragapult ex and the new Galvantula ex will make powering up Energy-hungry Tera Pokémon with this combo.
4) Noctowl
Noctowl has the dual Jewel Hunt Ability which says that when you play this Pokemon from your hand evolve one of your Pokemon during your turn. If you have any Tera Pokemon in play, you may search your deck for up to 2 Trainer cards, reveal them, and put them into your hand. Then, shuffle your deck. Noctowl is a turbo version of Pidgeot ex that doesn’t require Rare Candy. The Rare version of this card in Stellar Crown is Noctowl.
You have to have Tera Pokemon in play in order to use the Jewel Hunt Ability. Noctowl pairs very well with Tera Pokemon as they’re the easiest Tera Pokemon to get into play. Loading to the ground efficient basic Tera Pokemon will absolutely be the best partners for Noctowl as they have the lowest barrier to access the absolutely massive Jewel Hunt Ability.
5) Briar
Briar is a really good card and it can only be played if your opponent has exactly two Prize cards remaining, so it is limited in that but its effect is incredibly broken. Until the end of your turn, if your opponent’s Active Pokemon is knocked Out by damage from 1 of your Tera Pokemon attacks, you receive 1 more Prize card. With Briar, it is very possible to take three or even four prize turns to close out games. With the new Noctowl engine and Pidgeot ex, it is very easy to go search out Briar on a key turn to help you take that bonus Prize card.
Keep in mind that a lot of the best attackers in standard format are Tera Pokemon. We’ve got Dragapult ex, Charizard ex, and the new Terapagos ex which are all Tera Pokemon and can take advantage of the boost from Briar. Charizard ex decks already play Pidgeot ex which you can go search out Briar for the exact turn that you want to play it.
Terapagos ex decks are going to have access to Noctowl and maybe Pidgeot ex to get Briar on the turn that you need it. You can combo Briar with Dusknoir from Shrouded Fable to force your opponents onto the two Prize turns so that you can play Briar and then take a game-winning multi-prize Knockout. You can also play Briar and then play Dusknoir and put an opponent’s Pokemon within range to take a game-winning multi-prize Knockout. This card is used in many competitive decks to end games before your opponent has a chance for any counterplay.
6) Sparkling Crystal
This is a Pokemon tool ACE SPEC which makes it so that the attack cost of the Tera Pokemon this card is attached to is reduced by 1 of any type of energy. Sparkling Crystal is printed to make Dragapult ex playable. Dragapult ex has been seeing a little of a resurgence in Japan and Sparkling Crystal is definitely to thank. Being able to use Arvin to easily attack with Dragapult ex is a Godsend for that deck.
Sparkling Crystal can be used with any Tera Pokemon though which makes it a very versatile card. Reducing attack cost is quite good and there’s no rule on the card saying that you can’t put the Sparkling Crystal back into the deck. If there’s any way to recycle Sparkling Crystal like with the Roseanne’s, backup, or something like that then you can use Sparkling Crystal multiple times throughout a single game.
7) Lacey
Lacey is a new supporter card that allows you to shuffle your hand into your deck and draw four cards. If your opponent has three or fewer Prize cards remaining then you get to draw until you have eight cards instead. Shuffle draw eight is really amazing but shuffle draw is bad as half the game your supporters going to be bad and others will be bad. This kind of supporter is better in gym leader challenges where decks are for the most part only taking one prize at a time.
Your shuffle draws eight effects will have more time to be used than in the standard format. In standard format, decks often win in three to four turns which means that you may only have one or maybe two turn tops where your opponents have three or fewer prize cards remaining to proc Lacey’s draw effect.
8) Fan Rotom
Worried about setting up your Noctowl? The Pokemon company decided to print this completely broken Fan Rotom. This Fan Rotom only has 70 hit points but it is a total game changer. This has a Fan Call Ability which you can only use on the first turn of the game. You can search your deck for 3 colorless Pokemon with 100 hit points or less and put them into your hand to shuffle your deck. You can’t use this Ability if you have used another Fan Call Ability this turn.
Fan Rotom also got a great attack, Assault Landing. It does 70 damage for one colorless energy and if there is not a Stadium card in play then this attack fails. Fan Rotom pairs well with the Area Zero Under Depth Stadium. You have that Stadium to put into play to be able to use assault landing on the first turn of the game going second and 70 damage is enough to knock out almost all evolving basics like Charmander and Ralts.
9) Bouffalant
Bouffalant is a colorless Pokemon with 100 HP or less with the Curly Wall Ability. If you have another Bouffalant in play, all your basic colorless Pokemon take 60 less damage from attacks done by your opponent’s Pokemon. You can’t apply more than 1 Curly Wall Ability at a time. You can easily search for your Bouffalant with Fan Rottom’s Fan Call Ability.
This is a really ridiculously strong ability as it makes it very difficult for your opponent to take Knockouts. For instance, if you’ve got two Bouffalant in play and your opponent wants to knock out a bigger basic colorless Pokemon like the new Terapagos ex then they’re going to need to do upwards of nearly 300 damage.
10) Crispin
Crispin allows you to search your deck for up to two basic energy cards of different types, reveal them to your opponent, and put one of them into your hand. Attach the other energy to one of your Pokemon. You can compare Crispen to energy-accelerating supporters like Melony and Raihan from the past format. The bonus effect on Crispin is essentially to search your deck for energy.
You can search your deck for one energy and attach it and then you search your deck for another energy. Crispen is a little bit weak and a lot of people are high on Crispin because you can use it to help power up the Tera Pokemons. Dragapult ex decks to probably play a Crispin to help accelerate energy on Dragapult ex. If you’re playing the Nectowl engine then you can easily search out Crispin to use it on a key turn.
The problem with this card is that you have to already be completely set up in order to use the card. Its use cases will be pretty narrow and limited to decks that can just search out the one of when they want to use it. Including three The Crispin in your deck is not a good idea due to the sole energy accelerator.
Selecting the Best cards in Pokemon TCG is important as the chosen Card can directly turn the tide of victory on your side. Terapagos ex and Galvantula ex are the best in our ranked list, so make sure to choose one. Keep in mind that the Card you choose offers better abilities and attacks than the other Cards.
