For PS5 and Xbox Series C/S players, GTA Online offers a Criminal Career builder that helps newcomers build their portfolio in Los Santos. When creating a new character for the game, you will be given $4 million in-game cash that can be used to establish your chosen career path.
There are four different paths that players can choose from with their respective properties, vehicles, and weapons. Players can use the given cash to purchase these resources in the game. The remaining cash left will be handed to them in the game.

Executive
As an executive, you can become a CEO and your own office. You also gain access to a warehouse that you can use to get some contraband cargo and sell them for profit. This is the safest career you can take out of the four options. However, it’s not necessarily the best in terms of income.
Gunrunner
If you prefer raw firepower and chaos, then the Gunrunner path is for you. You gain access to weapons manufacturing and sell your produce for profit. You need to buy the necessary supplies but if you are feeling bold, you can steal the materials needed.
Nightclub Owner
They say the best things happen in the dark. If you are one of the people who believe this, the Nightclub is a good start for you. Choosing this path will unlock options for criminal activities like drug dealings, money laundering, and some cool stuff you often see in movies. The only problem on this path is, it takes a lot of time to build up the Nightclub to make a significant profit. It’s the least beginner-friendly out of the four.
Biker
You become the president of a motorcycle club. This allows you to branch out on other ventures like producing and selling illegal drugs, contractual jobs, and all the black market stuff. You can also get a bike shop where you can do some business and customize your motorcycles.
What is the best Criminal Career for beginners in 2025?
If you’re serious about earning money in GTA Online, the best Criminal Career to take in 2025 would be the Biker path. You then establish an MC business with a clubhouse and add in a Cocaine Lockup, Weed Farm, Counterfeit Cash Factory, or Document Forgery Office.
Your main goal is to earn enough money to purchase the RUNE Kosatka from the Warstock Cache and Carry for $2,200,000 in-game cash. It’s a huge investment but it’s going to be worth it in the end, trust me. This armored and weaponized submarine is required to start the Cayo Perico Heist which is one of the most lucrative jobs in the game.
After buying the submarine, you can then do the job and start earning big profits. It can take around 80-90 minutes to finish the Cayo Perico Heist. After the finale, you will have millions of cash in your bank account.
