Take notes and build these best dive teams with your friends in Marvel Rivals to take enemies by surprise.
“Dive” in Marvel Rivals is an informal term used to identify characters who are effective in close quarters and can “jump” the enemy team. Usually, you will find 1-2 players on your team selecting a dive character when solo-queueing. But what if the entire team was structured around this diver?
You see, the divers in question need plenty of healing because they are essentially jumping into the enemy territory. If they don’t get enough support from their strategists or other players on the team, the diving might not be as effective. So, it is important that we find a team centered around the diving theme to tackle this issue.
Let’s learn about these three best diving team compositions in Marvel Rivals that you need to try out with your friends right away.
NOTE: The compositions mentioned are subject to the writer’s opinion.
1. The Gamma Symbiote
The team composition here will be:
- Venom (Vanguard)
- Hulk (Vanguard)
- Spider-Man (Duelist)
- Iron Fist (Duelist)
- Adam Warlock (Strategist)
- Cloak and Dagger (Strategist)
This is an incredibly aggressive team. As you can see, the two tanks and two DPS that we have are all diving characters. They were made to be played in close quarters. All of them will hold aggro to divert enemy attention from the healers. Hulk and Venom also have enough mobility to get back to the primary healer to defend them whenever needed.
Strategists like Cloak and Dagger can deal damage when heals are not needed, and they can also heal from a safer distance, maybe a higher ground. Adam Warlock, on the other hand, will be a secondary healer. His role as a Strategist is all about dealing damage while his healing abilities are recharging.
This is a great composition to keep enemies occupied and waste their time while you capture their objective.
2. Strategic Diving
The team composition here will be:
- Doctor Strange (Vanguard)
- Captain America (Vanguard)
- Mister Fantastic (Duelist)
- Magik (Duelist)
- Invisible Woman (Strategist)
- Jeff the Land Shark (Strategist)
“Defensive” is a strategy that diving characters can’t take. They are meant to get in there and wreak havoc. However, nothing is stopping them from playing strategically. Captain America, Mister Fantastic, and Magik are the divers in this composition.
With his mobility, Captain America can get behind enemy lines and hold aggro for a long time when played well. His shield can also be effective in protecting himself in dire situations. Mister Fantastic has a great range for a dive character. He doesn’t need to be in the face of the enemy to land a hit and can still deal great damage. His Ability Kit allows him to act as a Vanguard too! And with Sue Storm on the team, his team-up ability will come in handy.
Invisible Woman is marvelous at bulk-healing her allies if she places a vortex. Refrain from offensive play because her attacks don’t deal much damage unless used strategically. Jeff will also help in healing the teammates greatly, and his Ultimate ability will make sure that your enemies rage quit or surrender during the match.
I did not forget about Doctor Strange. He is not a diver at all. His role will be to take the strategic charge whenever the portal is ready. This can turn the game around if your Ultimates are also ready. Since he has a ranged primary attack, he can stay at the back with the Strategists and protect them from incoming ranged attacks or fend off enemy divers.
3. The Immortal One
The team composition here will be:
- Venom (Vanguard)
- Moon Knight (Duelist)
- Adam Warlock (Strategist)
- Jeff the Land Shark (Strategist)
- Luna Snow (Strategist)
- Cloak & Dagger (Strategist)
I know, there are four Strategists on the team. Hear me out. Venom will take charge as the diving tank here, diverting all enemy attention towards him. This is what we typically call “holding aggro” in a situation. While he jumps in and deals with the enemies, the rest of the Strategists will focus on healing him and dealing secondary damage to enemies. Venom will practically be immortal in the match.
Thanks to Luna Snow, Jeff will have frozen attacks that deal more damage. Cloak & Dagger are already formidable when it comes to combat, and so is Adam Warlock. Moreover, if anyone attempts to attack the healers, the others can concentrate on defending them and healing the healer who is getting jumped. Venom can also return quickly to help out whenever needed.
Moon Knight, in the meantime, will deal with CC (crowd control) from afar. Place an Ankh and shoot away! This will help out Venom and others on the front line. And since Marc doesn’t need to have enemies in his line of sight to attack the Ankh, he wouldn’t need much support anyway.
