Indiana Jones and the Great Circle is a fantastic-looking game, especially when played on an Xbox Series X or a high-end PC. Furthermore, it’s one of the very few games that come with an excellent implementation of HDR, which can significantly increase the immersion factor, when viewed on a good HDR-capable display.

However, much like any other Triple-A title under the sun, the default HDR and Brightness settings in Indiana Jones and the Great Circle are far from ideal. In fact, in some instances, the default settings can drastically impact the game’s intended visuals and immersive experience. However, with a bit of tweaking, you can get it working just right.

Here’s a comprehensive guide on how to tweak the HDR and Brightness settings in Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, for the best gameplay experience.

When you first boot up the game on your console or PC, you will get the option to tweak the brightness to your liking. If you have the game connected to an HDR-capable display, you will also get options to make changes to your HDR settings. However, the default HDR settings are too low, which can make certain sections appear darker than usual.

Furthermore, on PC, the auto-HDR function on Windows 11 can result in irregular in-game brightness. However, you can fix the game’s brightness with a few simple tweaks. First, you need to set the game’s brightness to 67-70, which is a sweet spot for most SDR displays and even some HDR10 displays.

Additionally, you can also use Nvidia Control Panel or AMD Adrenaline (depending on your GPU), to make changes to the game’s brightness. Here’s how you can tweak the brightness in Indiana Jones and the Great Circle:

  • Head to the Video options under the Options menu.
  • Navigate to the Graphics Quality section.
  • Select Edit Brightness & HDR Settings.

If you have an HDR10 display, we recommend keeping HDR disabled and turning Brightness to 70. Furthermore, if you’re on an HDR-capable display, you can go with the default settings, albeit with some external tweaks. If you have an Nvidia GPU, you can head to the Nvidia Control Panel, and change your PC’s color settings from there. You can change to Nvidia’s color presets using the Nvidia Control Panel. Here are the steps to change the color and brightness settings for Nvidia GPU users:

  • Head to the Nvidia Control Panel.
  • Navigate to the Change Resolution option under Display settings.
  • Under the resolution settings, you will find the Use Nvidia Color Settings option.
  • Enable “Use Nvidia Color Settings” and then click on Apply.

We highly recommend restarting your PC for the changes to take effect.
