However, Iron Man’s flight mechanics is a bit slow, making him an easy target for ranged attacks. Even so, if you let him catch you off guard, his attacks can be quite devastating, especially when paired with the Hulk for the team-up ability.

Punisher

Out of all the counters for Iron Man in Marvel Rivals, the Punisher is the most consistent. His primary attacks, Adjudication and Deliverance, are of the hitscan type. This means he can easily land a hit Iron Man despite the aerial advantage.

For context, a hitscan is a game mechanic used for hit detection in games. When a player fires a hitscan weapon, the game instantly determines if the shot hits the target without simulating the bullet’s travel time or trajectory. If the target is within the weapon’s line of sight when the shot is fired, the damage is applied immediately.

Hela

Black Widow

If you’re good at sniping enemies, Black Widow is also a good hero to counter most flying enemies. One headshot with her ability, Straight Shooter, should be enough to take down Iron Man. Keep in mind that it’s a bit tricky to pull off on a moving target.

For better accuracy, partner her up with Hawkeye for the Supersensory Hunt Team-Up ability. This allows you to see the non-moving afterimages that you can shoot to deal damage to heroes.
