Nvidia stunned everyone when it released the 3070. It offers 2080 Ti performance at half the price—that’s right. The 3070 is a 2080 Ti but follows Team Green’s pattern of lesser VRAM. The 3070 Ti is likely a 10-15% faster variant of the 3070, thanks to its higher CUDA core count and GDDR6X memory instead of the standard GDDR6 found on the 3070. Both cards offered a fantastic 1440p experience and ran intensive titles without issues.

In 2025, however, both the 3070 and 3070 Ti need some tweaking, like their bigger brothers, the 3080 and 3080 Ti. Out-of-the-box Very High/Ultra settings seem too much for them—not because of their computing power, but due to VRAM limitations. Without further ado, let’s explore the settings that make the most out of your GPU in Shadows.

Note: We use FSR 3.1 Framegen in decoupled mode to simultaneously use the DLSS upscaler. Additionally, our settings ensure you can swap from CNN to the Transformer model and use the Performance profile via the Nvidia app without significant frame loss, instead gaining image clarity. You can increase or decrease the Upscaler Quality / Volumetric Fog and Cloud to your liking.
