Loki can quite literally be the God of Mischief and evil in Marvel Rivals. So, we have brought you a guide to counter him!
Marvel Rivals excelled at creating the trickster god Loki. His abilities let him toy with his opponents during matches. If you have a Loki main on your team, you can benefit greatly from his presence.
Sitting at a 4-star difficulty rating, Loki is difficult to master. However, once somebody does master him, he is a menace to deal with. His Ability set is the only reason why he can be an intimidating character on the battlefield. So, let’s take a look at the Abilities that he comes with.
(NOTE: The tips shared later in this article are subjective and may not work in every scenario)
All Loki’s Abilities in Marvel Rivals
Loki’s basic attack is Mystical Missile. His staff shoots bursts of energy that damage enemies and heal allies, depending on who you are aiming at.
He can also create two clones of himself anywhere on the map and replace himself with their positions at the click of a button. The Doppelganger copies Loki. So, if you shoot at an enemy, they will act as the two additional members of your team. And if you heal a friend, they will follow you.
This can work just as well when you are trying to use Regeneration Domain. All the clones also create this domain around them that heals allies, themselves, and converts incoming damage into healing.
Loki can use Deception to trick his enemies and disappear all of a sudden, often leaving a clone behind. Be careful because he might sneak up behind you and use his Backstab melee attack to deal additional damage.
His Ultimate, God of Mischief, allows him to transform into anybody on the battlefield that he prefers. This can be dangerous if the opponent playing Loki mains any other DPS or Vanguard character as well.
Learn To Counter Loki in Marvel Rivals
Depending on what mode you are playing in Marvel Rivals, you will find that Loki Laufeyson can switch between healing and DPS pretty quickly. His Mystical Missiles do decent damage, and the clones act as additional team members who can continue supporting the team unless destroyed.
So, keeping his abilities in mind, use the following tips to counter Loki:
- Let a team member prioritize putting down the Doppelgangers that Loki puts up. This way, several of his tricks will be disabled before he even has a chance to use them.
- Whenever he uses Regeneration Domain, aim for the crystals floating in the domains to destroy them, instead of hurting the enemies inside. This is because the domain will convert your damage into healing. So destroying the crystals will help close the domain. This will let you continue your DPS.
- If you catch the God of Mischief disappearing all of a sudden, keep attacking mindlessly around the area. This will expose him immediately and stop his passive healing and other planned mischiefs.
- Lastly, if he Ults into a character that you think he knows how to play, retreat or let your Vanguards take charge. And if you are playing the Vanguard, let loose on Loki. Unlike Hulk, who first becomes Bruce Banner, Loki can straight-up die when eliminated during his Ultimate.
