When playing Sea of Thieves, you can join several factions for your pirating adventures. One of the most important ones is the Gold Hoarders. It is one of the three factions that you have to level up to eventually unlock the Pirate Legend status. In this guide, we’ll tell you exactly what to do if you want to level up Gold Hoarders in Sea of Thieves.
How Can You Level Up Gold Hoarders in Sea of Thieves Quickly?
There are three distinct methods you can use to level up this particular faction rank fast. These include:
- Raising a Gold Hoarders’ emissary flag
- Finishing Wayfinder Voyages
- Finishing various World Events
While there are other ways to increase the faction’s rank, these methods ensure the quickest leveling up. Let’s take a detailed look at these methods.
Raising a Gold Hoarders’ Emissary Flag
Raising the Emissary Flag of the Gold Hoarders faction when you sell your loot to the group’s representative will garner you increased gold and reputation. However, there are certain trade-offs to this approach. Firstly, all members of your team must agree to raise the Emissary Flag of Gold Hoarders in Sea of Thieves. All team members will vote for it, and this voting process takes place on the table near the faction representative. Another major risk of raising the Emissary Flag is that everyone present on the same server will be able to locate your ship on the world map. This may mean an increased risk of attacks.
Finishing Wayfinder Voyages
Visit the Gold Hoarders’ representative in your outpost and find Wayfinder Voyages that they have. Accept the quest, and you will then have to go on a treasure hunt by first hunting down torn pieces of maps. Once you find the piece with the ‘X’ mark on it, you have to reach the marked spot and dig. If it’s the right spot, you’ll find a key and the name of an island where you need to travel. On that island will be a vault full of Gold Hoarders’ treasure. Collect all of it and sell it to the representative back in your outpost.
These treasures tend to be more valuable than most loot you find out in the world. So, selling them to the Gold Hoarders faction can boost your reputation with them quickly.
Finishing Various World Events
The game has a wide range of world events that players can take part in. However, you need to prioritize the following three when looking to level up Gold Hoarders.
- Skeleton Forts: These are forts that you can identify by the skull-shaped cloud in the sky. Make sure you are attempting these quests when playing with other people. Or, you can join an alliance and tackle the forts. You have to face off against waves of skeleton enemies until you defeat the final boss and retrieve the treasure using their dropped key.
- The Flameheart Fleet: In these quests, you have to fight an army of ghost ships. Locate them by looking up at the sky and spotting a Skeleton Captain. During the event, you will go up against normal ghost ships and then the tougher boss ghost ships. Once you deal enough damage, the ships will disappear, and loot will appear in the water for you to collect.
- Skeleton Ships: Whenever you spot a boat full of skeletons, you should approach and attack it using cannonballs. These ships can appear at random locations on the map, and sinking them grants quite a bit of loot that you can sell to the Gold Hoarders in Sea of Thieves.
Keep in mind that only one World Event remains active on any server at once. Once the active event ends, only then can a separate World Event take its place.
