Best Relic Ranked in Black Myth: Wukong
Craving Eyes is the best Relic in Black Myth Wukong because its passive bonus increases focus gains via light attacks. Craving Eyes is the best for offensive-minded gameplay, allowing you to make more charged heavy attacks and increased damage. The second-best relic ranked is Fuming Ears, which increases damage by 20% after a perfect dodge. This is perfect for players with lightning-fast reflexes who can avoid attacks on demand. Lastly, Hubris Nose is helpful for players who rely on spellcasting, specifically Immobilize.
Below is a ranking of Relics in Black Myth: Wukong, from best to worst:
- Craving Eyes: increase focus gains from light attack.
- Fuming Ears: gain damage increase after a perfect dodge.
- Hubris Nose: increases damage after casting a spell.
- Envious Tongue: end-game boost to survivability via Gourd soaks.
- Grieved Body: increases health.
5 Grieved Body
- Description: A Strong body, and uncertain destiny. Massively reduces fall damage.
- Passive Bonuses
- Nimble Body: Massively reduces the Stamina cost of all charged heavy attacks.
- Everlasting Vitality: Considerably increase Maximum Health.
- Divine Safeguard: Considerably increases Four Bane Resistance.
- Best Bonus: Everlasting Vitality
The Grieved Body Relic obtained later in Black Myth Wukong is ranked worst on our list because the bonuses aren’t that significant. The preferred bonus is Everlasting Vitality, which significantly increases your overall health. Additionally, Nimble body can be helpful for reducing stamina cost of charged heavy attacks. But, these passive bonuses are rather weak for late-game Relic, and much better options exist.
The best way to use Grieved Body is if you find yourself extremely low on overall health due to lacking armor or weapons. An additional usage is Divine Safeguard for specific encounters with Four Bane debuff. Outside of that, Grieved Body is the weakest Relic and should be avoided for much better options.
4 Envious Tongue
- Description: To embrace its potency, be prepared for its bitterness. Extends the duration of effects for all medicines.
- Passive Bonuses
- Refreshing Taste: After consuming medicine, increases the Critical Hit Chance of the next attack.
- Spread the Word: Immobilize affects all enemies around the target.
- Tongue of A Connoisseur: Each equipped Soak slightly increases the Health recovery of the Drink.
- Best Bonus: Tongue of A Connoisseur
The Envious Tongue Relic is ranked fourth on our list due to its late game availability and emphasis on consumable drinks. The best passive is Tongue of A Connoisseur which is helpful at end-game where Gourd cores can support up to 4 soaks. The more soaks, the better the healing, giving you a defensive survivability boost when you need it.
Another use of Envious Tongue is the Spread the Word passive that can be paired with the Immobilize spell. This turns Immobilize into an AOE spell, helpful when relying on the spell for crowd control. Outside of that, Envious Tongues isn’t as powerful as others on this list, and a better offensive or defensive bonus would rank it higher.
3 Hubris Nose
- Description: Nose chases fragrance as mind craves ecstasy. Enhances the ability to find hidden ingredients in the wild.
- Passive Bonuses
- Lingering Armoa: Gains a moderate Damage Bonus for a short time after casting a spell.
- In One Breath: Focus Points can be charged up to 4 within the Ring of Fire.
- Hold Breath: Moderately extends Dodge invincibility duration.
- Best Bonus: Lingering Armor
The third ranked Relic on our list is Hubris Nose, which is better than Envious Tongue due to the damage bonus from Lingering Armor. While spells aren’t the core gameplay mechanic in Black Myth Wukong, using low cooldown spells and a Lingering Armor bonus to boost damage after casting a spell can be a powerful combination. A good combo for this build would be Cloud Step once you’ve taken the talent to increase critical hit chance while in Cloud Step. Thus, you can cast it and boost damage and critical chance.
Another usage of Hubris Nose is if you intend to focus on the Ring of Fire spell. The In One Breath passive helps build up focus to 4 while inside the Ring of Fire spell, which pairs well with the Thrust Stance. Overall, we’d rank the Hubris Nose relic higher if it had passives that applied to every build, especially offensive bonuses.
2 Fuming Ears
- Description: From the faintest noise, capture the deepest significance. Bold ventures bring both pride and resistance. Echoes of the past can be found where farma lingers.
- Passive Bonuses
- All Ears: Slightly extends invincibility duration of the first move of all Varied Combos.
- Sound as A Bell: Narrows the window of Rock Solid Deflection, but returns half of the Mana cost of the Spell upon a deflection.
- Whistling Wind: Temporarily increases attack after a Perfect Dodge.
- Best Bonus: Whistling Windo
The second best Relic in Black Myth Wukong is Fuming Ears because of the Whistling Wind passive boosting damage by 20% after a Perfect Dodge. Perfect Dodge is the most important mechanic to master in the game, and boosting damage by 20% gives you a defensive and offensive bonus in one passive. Additionally, you can select the All ears passive aid in survivability after Varied Combos. Lastly, players that use Rock Solid spell can sacific the reflection window duration for returned mana cost upon a successful deflection.
The weakness of fuming ears is that they don’t improve or enhance focus attacks like craving eyes. Additionally, not all players will master Perfect Dodges or use Rock Solid spell, which is one of the weakest spells in Black Myth Wukong. However, for those players who execute perfect dodges frequently, try Whistling Wind and the second-best relic, Fuming Ears.
1 Craving Eyes
- Description: A glimpse reveals the foes’ might. A talent tilts to an unfair fight. Identifies the yaoguais that bear spirits.
- Passive Bonuses
- Opportune Watcher: Considerably increases focus gain upon consecutive successful light attack hits.
- Eagle Eye: Upon a successful hit with Unveiling Strike, the Cooldown of this spell is massively reduced.
- Keen Insight: Considerably increases Critical Hit Damage.
- Best Bonus: Opportune Watcher
The best Relic is Craving Eyes due to the Opportune Watcher passive that increases focus on light attacks. This is the best overall offensive passive because you generate more focused use to charge heavy attacks, dealing the most damage possible. Moreover, it passively aids in light attacks, not requiring any spell or mechanics to boost your most basic and important offensive tool in Black Myth Wukong.
Another strength of Craving Eyes is Keen Insight passive boosting critical hit damage. You can pair this bonus with Cloud Step and a talent that boosts critical hit chance. Therefore, giving you a near stealth burst attack and is geared towards offensive-minded players.
The main downside to Craving Eyes is its weaker on defensive bonuses and not as good for specific spells like others on this list. However, with every build and playstyle needing focus, we ranked it number one and suggest using it until min-maxing your build to a specific playstyle.
