In Black Myth: Wukong, you can progress and strengthen your character build by unlocking new spells and abilities. Moreover, you can also further refine those skills by unlocking Talents. Talents are passive boosts to your active spells that you unlock with Spark Points.

You earn Spark Points in the game by defeating enemies. When you defeat an enemy you will be granted Willpower. Then, after your Willpower bar fills up, you will get a Spark Point.

Finally, you can respec your Spark Points at any time during the game. This freedom will facilitate combat strategy and allow you to modify your build to take advantage of boss weaknesses or combat style.

Immobilize Talent Tree - Black Myth Wukong
Ring of Fire Talent Tree - Black Myth Wukong

There are two Mysticism skill lines available to unlock in Black Myth: Wukong – Immobilize and Ring of Fire. Moreover, within those lines, there are a total of 13 talents, with each providing a different type of passive boost. The Immobilize spell is an ability you can use to temporarily freeze an opponent in place. Larger, more powerful monsters will break free sooner, and it has a cast time that can be interrupted if your enemy isn’t staggered or stunned.

Ring of Fire creates an elemental circle on the ground for a limited period of time, which will protect you from the cold and can boost recovery effects. This spell can provide a good boost to survivability, and when the duration is long enough you can leave the circle to attack and then return for the buffs.

Below are all the Mysticism Skills and Talents:

Crash

Immobilize Talent Crash - Black Myth Wukong
  • Talent Name: Crash
  • Spell Specific: Immobilize
  • Description: Each talent level moderately increases Damage dealt to immobilized enemies.
  • Type: Passive
  • Sparks Cost: 1

The Crash talent is a straightforward increase to all damage dealt to enemies you have immobilized. Immobilize is one of the earliest spells you will learn in the game and is an incredibly useful way to get in some free hits without having to worry about retaliation. Crash is a cheap talent to unlock and will instantly increase some of your DPS. You should absolutely unlock it in the early game, even if you think you might respec it later.

Stagnation

Immobilize Talent Stagnation - Black Myth Wukong
  • Talent Name: Stagnation
  • Spell Specific: Immobilize
  • Description: Hitting an immobilized enemy with Light Attack slightly extends the duration of the next immobilization inflicted on them. This effect can stack up to 5 times.
  • Type: Passive
  • Sparks Cost: 1

Stagnation is another early-game talent you should unlock when you have an extra Sparks Point available. The downside is that you won’t see the benefits from this the first time you immobilize an enemy because it won’t apply until the second time you cast the spell. Therefore, you might not get the benefit at all when fighting smaller, easier enemies. However, it is likely to become much more valuable during longer, protracted fights with boss monsters.

Evanescence

Immobilize Talent Evanescence - BMWK
  • Talent Name: Evanescence
  • Spell Specific: Immobilize
  • Description: When the enemy is immobilized the moment they attack, extends the immobilization duration and massively increases the Damage the enemy takes.
  • Type: Passive
  • Sparks Cost: 1

The Evanescence talent is a fantastic early boost to DPS against enemies frozen in time, but it does require player skill to pull off. You have to time the Immobilize spell so that it catches your enemy at the moment of attack. This means you’ll need to practice and become very familiar with the speed of the cast time. You’ll also have the learn the timing of the enemy attacks, which will change from monster to monster. Therefore, this talent has a potential for high damage but will require correct timing to make it worth the investment of Spark Points.

Easy Prey

Immobilize Talent Easy Prey - BMWK
  • Talent Name: Easy Prey
  • Spell Specific: Immobilize
  • Description: When an enemy is immobilized, massively increases the engage distance of Light Attack Starter.
  • Type: Passive
  • Sparks Cost: 1

The Easy Prey talent helps to turn your first light attack into a gap closer. If you have backed off from your opponent to create some distance while you are casting the Immobilize spell, you’re also going to want to get in close as quickly as possible to start attacking before the spell wears off. Any second you aren’t striking is lost DPS. Therefore, you can unlock Easy Prey to extend the reach of your first light attack so that you can close the distance more quickly.

Spirit Shards

Immobilize Talent Spirit Shards - Black Myth Wukong
  • Talent Name: Spirit Shards
  • Spell Specific: Immobilize
  • Description: Recovers a moderate amount of Mana upon crashing the immobilization of the enemy.
  • Type: Passive
  • Sparks Cost: 2

Spirit Shards is a resource recovery talent that can give you back Mana after you crash the immobilization of the enemy. Mana is the resource you use to cast all spells. That includes Immobilize, so another way of looking at this talent is to say that it can decrease the cost of casting the spell. The action is fairly easy to execute, so players shouldn’t have a hard time taking full advantage of the passive bonus.

Unbroken Chain

Immobilize Talent Unbroken Chain - Black Myth Wukong
  • Talent Name: Unbroken Chain
  • Spell Specific: Immobilize
  • Description: Casting Immobilize no longer interrupts Light Attack Combo.
  • Type: Passive
  • Sparks Cost: 2

Next in the Black Myth: Wukong – Complete Guide List Mysticism Skills and Talents article is Unbroken Chain, which allows you to cast Immoblize without breaking your light attack combo. This ability will help you with the timing of casting the spell, especially if you have taken the Evanescence talent. Additionally, it means you don’t have to restart your chain of light attacks, and can therefore more consistently deliver the final powerful blow directly to the immobilized enemy.

Time Bargain

Immobilize Talent Time Bargain - Black Myth Wukong
  • Talent Name: Time Bargain
  • Spell Specific: Immobilize
  • Description: Consumes a moderate amount of additional Mana to massively extend immobilization duration.
  • Type: Passive
  • Sparks Cost: 2

If the Immobilization spell is core to your build and combat strategy, then this final talent is a must-have to unlock. The downside is that it will make the Immobilization spell consume more Mana when you cast it, but the payoff is that it will greatly extend the duration of the immobilization. Consequently, that means you can deal a lot more ‘free’ damage without having to pause or stop when the enemy moves or attacks.

Additionally, if you’ve unlocked the Spirit Shards talent and are executing the trigger effect to get some Mana in return, then that will negate some of the additional resource cost this talent incurs.

Flaring Dharma

Ring of Fire Talent Flaring Dharma - BMWK
  • Talent Name: Flaring Dharma
  • Spell Specific: Ring of Fire
  • Description: Each talent level slightly extends the duration of Ring of Fire.
  • Type: Passive
  • Sparks Cost: 1

The first of the Ring of Fire talents is Flaring Dharma, and it will extend the duration of the spell. Furthermore, there are three levels of this you can unlock and the effects will stack. If you like using the protective spell and the recovery boost that it provides then this is a simple and easy way of being able to use it more. Additionally, don’t forget that you can leave the circle and then come back to it. Don’t feel like you are stuck in one spot until the ring disappears to get the full benefits.

Raging Flames

Ring of Fire Talent Raging Flames - BMWK
  • Talent Name: Raging Flames
  • Spell Specific: Ring of Fire
  • Description: Generates additional Focus every second while with Ring of Fire.
  • Type: Passive
  • Sparks Cost: 2

Unlocking the Raging Flames talent will allow you to generate Focus passively while standing inside the Ring of Fire. Focus Points are a resource that normally you can only build by landing successful hits on enemies, charging, or executing Perfect Dodges. After you build up your Focus gauge you can spend focus points to make powerful finishing blows hit even harder.

Therefore, while this isn’t a high-priority talent to unlock in this skill tree, it can be helpful overall. If you have a couple of extra Spark Points you aren’t using, then it’s worth the investment.

Burning Zeal

Ring of Fire Talent Burning Zeal - BMWK
  • Talent Name: Burning Zeal
  • Spell Specific: Ring of Fire
  • Description: Increases Maximum Stamina while within Ring of Fire.
  • Type: Passive
  • Sparks Cost: 1

Next in the Black Myth: Wukong – Complete Guide List Mysticism Skills and Talents article is Burning Zeal, which will increase your Maximum Stamina while you are standing in the Ring of Fire. Stamina is used for all physical actions in Black Myth: Wukong. Light attacks, heavy attacks, charged heavy attacks, and dodges all require the use of stamina. If you deplete your stamina bar, then your actions are limited to spells and transformations.

However, the downside to this spell is that it requires you to be standing within the Ring. This will greatly limit your mobility so be careful against agile enemies.

Consolidation

Ring of Fire Talent Consolidation - Black Myth Wukong
  • Talent Name: Consolidation
  • Spell Specific: Ring of Fire
  • Description: Standing within the Ring of Fire slowly recovers Health.
  • Type: Passive
  • Sparks Cost: 1

Consolidation is an advanced Ring of Fire talent that will help increase your health recovery. You do have to be standing within the Ring of Fire for the boost to be active. However, there is nothing that says you can’t leave the ring and come back. The resource regeneration boost will reapply itself when you step back inside.

Overall, this will be a very helpful talent even if you can’t remain in the circle for a long period. If you can Immobilize the enemy or distract it with Duplicates, then you can take a moment to catch your breath and recover.

Flame’s Embrace

Ring of Fire Talent Flame's Embrace - Black Myth Wukong
  • Talent Name: Flame’s Embrace
  • Spell Specific: Ring of Fire
  • Description: Moderately increases Damage Reduction received while within the Ring of Fire.
  • Type: Passive
  • Sparks Cost: 1

The Flame’s Embrace talent will increase your defenses while you stand within the Ring of Fire so that you take less damage from attacking enemies. Again, the downside to this is that you have to stay within the circle, and there are likely to be a lot of agile enemies that this won’t work well for. However, if you can combine Flame’s Embrace with Consolidation, Burning Zeal, and/or Raging Flames then standing within the Ring of Fire is going to give you back a lot of resources.

Boundless Blessings

Ring of Fire Talent Boundless Blessings - Black Myth Wukong
  • Talent Name: Boundless Blessings
  • Spell Specific: Ring of Fire
  • Description: After staying in the Ring of Fire for a short duration, its effect continues even after exiting. The Mana cost of this spell moderately increases upon awakening this talent.
  • Type: Passive
  • Sparks Cost: 2

The final talent in the Ring of Fire skill tree is the most helpful of all. Boundless Blessings will allow you to leave the ring and still retain all of the beneficial effects of the other talents you have unlocked. This makes the Ring of Fire spell and all of the other talents massively more beneficial. Moreover, you will now be able to more effectively take advantage of all the passive bonuses provided by the ring, especially when fighting most of the more deadly boss monsters.
