Black Myth Wukong recently received a new title update, which comes with official support for DLSS 4. With the latest update, Black Myth Wukong is now among the very few current-gen titles that officially support the most recent iteration of Nvidia’s upscaling technology. In addition to DLSS 4, the update also added support for Multi-Frame Generation, which should help players with the RTX 50-series cards go well past the 60 fps threshold. Furthermore, the update also comes with additional bug fixes, especially for the game’s Varied Combos system. In addition to all this, the update has also added Frame Generation for players who chose to use Intel’s XeSS upscaler.

Game Science has noted that although the update’s file size is 1.9 GB on Steam (PC), it will require double that amount of storage while installing due to decompression. Furthermore, as is the case with any other game, updates might introduce crashes related to shader compilation. To avoid instances of the game crashing at startup or during shader pre-compilation, it’s best to verify the integrity of the files after an update. Furthermore, if you find the game crashing during the shader compilation process, you can skip it by pressing the B or the Circle button on the controller. Do note that skipping shader compilation might introduce stutters during gameplay.

Lastly, following the update, the options for Frame Generation on PC show up in Chinese. This is a known bug that will get addressed in a future hotfix or title update for the game.
