The ESO Necromancer One Bar PvP Tank Build is a powerful, but simple build that can be a great first time tank for beginners. Incredibly strong, but with low mobility, this build is a great way to stack up bodies for the dps in your group to bomb on!

Skills

Bar: Sword and Shield

Two options in tanking:

• Sword and Shield Consumes stamina and has a great ultimate
• Frost Staff, can consume magicka to block, same mitigation or take out tri-focus for stamina blocking.  The benefit of Frost Staff is, you don't cut your sword and shield trait in half AND you have range.  For these builds, if you don't run sword and shield ability/ultimate use frost.

Defensive Stance (Morph of Defensive Posture | Skill line: One Hand And Shield) - Increases block mitigation and blocking cost. Consider this your flex spot on the bar guard is a good skill when playing in a group.

Mortal Coil (Morph of Restoring Tether | Skill line: Living Death) - sword and shield tanky option with Mortal Coil gets stamina back while blocking.

Blood Mist (Morph of Mist Form | Skill line: Vampire) - Our "turtle" up ability when 5+ people are hammering on you, cast this ability!

Spirit Guardian (Morph of Spirit Mender | Skill line: Living Death) - heal that gives boost to our passives sustain and create corpses.

Resistant Flesh (Morph of Render Flesh | Skill line: Living Death) - powerful burst heal for yourself and the group.

Ravenous Goliath (Morph of Bone Goliath Transformation | Skill line: Bone Tyrant) - Incredible survivability and damage for a brief time.

Rotation

The premise here is to agro as many people as possible and live inside of mist form as a stage 3 vampire for huge damage reduction.  You’ll pop up and use Resilient Yokeda gear set for a monster burst heal.  Block and use stamina resource pool out of Mist Form to mitigate damage and spam heals to pop up to full.  Piggy back and forth between using magicka to burst heal, stamina to reduce damage and mist form when you need a break.  Use tri-pots on cooldown and hold the line!

Survival

Ironblood: obtained in Falkreath hold veteran dungeon.

• Why? The most tanky 5pc back bar set in the game.  You’ll be slow but insane tanky.

FLEX OPTIONS

• Mark of the Pariah = good for armor keep on the body all times
• Buffer of the Swift = awesome damage reduction
• Grace of Gloom = insane survivability if you have high health
• Wretched Vitality = great resource sustain
• Trial by Fire = great pure mitigation set

Defending Warrior: obtained in trial Aetherian Archive

1. Why? gives mind boggling burst heals when tanking multiple enemies.

FLEX OPTIONS

• Battalion Defender =for balanced self healing
• Leeching Plate = for solo self healing
• Desert Rose = for god tier sustain

Oakensoul: obtained through ESO Mythics/antiquities system. You need 5 objects(leads) to be able to create the Mythic item. Location of the 5 leads (click for details)

• Why? The best one bar item for a DPS

FLEX OPTIONS

• Torc of Tonal Constancy = Sustain
• Markyn Ring of Majesty: = good damage per one piece and it helps defensives as well.
• Death Dealer’s Fete = high max stats
• Pale Order = solo play survivability
• Wild Hunt = insane speed in an open world

Ironclad (Slottable) - 50
Reduces your damage taken by direct damage attacks by 3% per stage.

Hope Infusion (Slottable) - 50
Healing yourself or an ally under 50% Health grants them Minor Heroism for 1 second for every 300 Magicka Recovery you have. This effect can occur once every 10 seconds per target. Current duration: 1.5 seconds

Focused Mending (Slottable) - 50
Increases your Healing Done with single target heals by 2% per stage.

Cutting Defense (Slottable) - 50
You deal 1(x) Magic Damage to attackers whenever they damage you with a direct damage attack within 7 meters. This effect scales off the higher of your Physical or Spell Resistance and can activate your Weapon Enchantments and Poisons.

Survival Instincts (Slottable) - 50
While afflicted with a Status Effect, your core combat skills cost 5% less per stage.

Boundless Vitality (Slottable) - 50
Grants 28 Max Health per stage.

BEST FOR SUSTAIN: Increase Max Health by 4312, Health Recovery by 406 and Stamina and Magicka Recovery by 369 for 2 hours. Ingredients: Frost Mirriam (1), Perfect Roe (1), Red Meat (1), Tomato (1), White Cap (1)

Jewels of Misrule

Type: Foods

CHEAP SUSTAIN OPTION: Increase Stamina and Magicka Recovery by 357 and Max Health by 3927 for 2 hours. These effects are scaled based on your level. Ingredients: Bervez Juice (1), Lotus (1), Mint (1), Rose (1), Columbine (1)

Tri-Potion

Type: Potions

Restore 7329 Health, 6618 Magicka, and 6618 Stamina immediately. Grants Major Fortitude, Major Intellect, and Major Endurance which increase your Health Recovery, Magicka Recovery, and Stamina Recovery by 20% for 31.7 seconds. (effects are scaled based on your level) Ingredients: Bugloss, Columbine, Mountain Flower
