You cannot change the difficulty setting in Black Myth: Wukong, but it is possible to defeat tough bosses using a certain workaround.
Black Myth: Wukong is an action RPG title with a souls-like formula. This categorization by default means that the game will be difficult to a certain extent. You are likely to die quite a few times to every boss before defeating them.
Some may wonder if it would be possible to lower the difficulty setting of the game and have an easier journey. Unfortunately, the answer is no. You will not be able to change the difficulty setting in Black Myth: Wukong. However, this does not mean you will always be stuck in tough situations.
Difficulty Setting Cannot Be Tweaked in Black Myth: Wukong
Black Myth: Wukong does not have a difficulty setting to begin with. The entire game runs on the same settings for everyone, and some parts are just made to be tough. This aligns with its souls-like essence, despite the game not being open-world like most others in this genre.
The lack of a proper difficulty setting in Black Myth: Wukong can be upsetting for players who prefer a less hardcore and casual experience. They like to relax and soak in the story of a game. Black Myth: Wukong may not be well-suited for this purpose since constant death at the hands of the same enemy can be quite infuriating.
However, there is a silver lining. You do not have to keep fighting the same tough boss and be forced to memorize their attack patterns if you do not want to. While that is a valid way to experience the game, you can take advantage of the unique versatility of the respec feature and save some time instead.
Black Myth: Wukong Offers Unlimited Respeccing
Black Myth: Wukong compensates for the lack of a difficulty setting by allowing you to use the respec feature. You can change and customize your build in any way you like. While this does not lower the difficulty per se, you will have an easier time getting out of the cycle of fighting the same boss over and over again.
Respeccing serves as a workaround for every difficult fight. Tailor your skillset for the boss you are facing, and you will be good to go. Not all builds will work for every boss, so keep making modifications during your playthrough. Other than that, having the right skills unlocked and mastering dodges in Black Myth: Wukong will help make the game less difficult for you.
