While mostly a co-op game, you can still play REPO solo. If you’re playing alone, read this guide for some useful tips.

REPO, the horror treasure-hunting game, is at its best when you play with friends. However, if you simply want to enjoy a session alone, you can do that as well. While playing REPO solo can be challenging, there are several ways to make the experience smoother for yourself.
In this guide, we’ll explain how you can play the game by yourself and tips for solo play.
REPO Solo: What You Should Know?

The primary difficulty of playing the game solo is that you’ll have no one to rely on for resuscitation if you die. Normally, one of your friends can help rescue you in such dire circumstances. Another challenging portion is carrying the valuables all by yourself. Some of the riches can be quite heavy, and hauling it all alone can be troublesome.
These distinct differences in how you have to approach REPO when playing alone are why we have listed down some of the tips for solo play. Following these tips should make your life easier and prevent you from dying every 5 minutes.

Tips for Solo Play in REPO

Here are some tips that you need to follow when you’re attempting a solo run in REPO.
- Prioritize getting health and strength upgrades: When you’re playing alone, you will get all of the upgrades you earn. Make sure you fortify your Health and Strength stats first. More health will allow you to survive greater punishment without dying. Similarly, increased strength will enable you to carry even the heaviest items all by yourself.
- Reload levels whenever necessary: While REPO is a scary game when playing with friends, it can be even creepier when you go in for a solo run. So, whenever you stumble onto a level that you don’t like or come face-to-face with a particularly frightening monster, don’t think twice about reloading the level. Keep in mind that your progress only saves when you finish a level. So, reloading won’t set you back.
- Don’t sprint all the time: Sprinting continuously will tire you out. Soon, you may face a dangerous monster and have no stamina left to escape their clutches. Instead, when playing alone, walk most of the time, even if you are inside a darkened, creepy room or hear loud noises nearby.
- Always do the extraction closest to the truck last: When you have multiple extractions to clear on the map, make sure you save the one that’s closest to the truck until the very end. Whenever you clear the last extraction, monsters all across the map will respawn and even multiply. So, being near the truck can exponentially increase your chances of survival.
- Use monsters to attack other monsters: By carefully studying the movement and behavior of monsters in REPO, you can sometimes use the attacks of one monster against another. For instance, if you have enough strength, you can simply pick up the Rugrat and throw it at another monster nearby. These tactics can help you survive longer all by yourself.
