Black Myth: Wukong’s autosave feature can be a lifesaver, especially after you have emerged victorious in a tough boss fight. The autosave feature is present in other major souls-like titles such as Elden Ring, so its inclusion in Black Myth: Wukong does not come as a big surprise.

You cannot turn off autosave in Black Myth: Wukong. It is possible to delete saves, but the feature itself cannot be turned off. In this article, we will explore the autosave feature in detail.

You cannot turn off autosave in Black Myth: Wukong as it is the primary save method. This might seem like a forced mechanic, but it is actually a boon, especially in scenarios where you have won an important fight and have very little health remaining.

The feature triggers automatically at certain pivotal points. This can happen after a boss fight or while you’re exploring the world.

  • Automatic Triggers: Autosaves typically occur after significant gameplay events such as:
    • Defeating enemies
    • Collecting items
    • Reaching notable areas
  • Visual Indicator: You can check if an autosave has taken place by looking for the autosave icon. This is denoted by a golden-colored wavy line in the upper right corner of the screen.
