Carmen Sandiego, the iconic scarlet thief is back, and is coming to major console platforms very soon. Gameloft, the developers behind Disney Dreamlight Valley and the Asphalt games, is revitalizing the Carmen Sandiego series with a brand-new Triple-A title. The game essentially retreads the events of the Carmen Sandiego animated series, albeit with some twists.
Although the title is marketed as a stealth game, Carmen Sandiego is more akin to old-school strategy and immersive-sims, with some stealth elements. Gameloft announced the game alongside a confirmed release date. Additionally, following the game’s announcement, pre-orders for it went live on all platforms.

Carmen Sandiego is scheduled to be released on March 7, 2025. The game is coming to all major current-gen platforms, i.e., PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and Windows PC (via Steam). The game is currently available to pre-order on PlayStation and Xbox digital storefronts. On PC, the game’s store page is live on Steam.
PC pre-orders are yet to go live on Steam. However, you can add the game to your Wishlist on Steam to stay updated on when it goes live for pre-order. Furthermore, there is no early access (advanced access on Steam) or bonus incentive for pre-ordering the game on any platform.
Carmen Sandiego Editions and Prices
Carmen Sandiego, much like Gameloft’s previous console release, Disney Dreamlight Valley, is available in two different editions – Standard and Deluxe. The Standard Edition is priced at $30 and comes with just the base game. Whereas, the Deluxe Edition is priced at $50 and comes with a few in-game bonuses on top of the base game. Furthermore, the Deluxe Edition also comes with the official artbook and soundtrack, which some players might find worth the extra $20. That said, here’s a breakdown of the different editions of Carmen Sandiego:
