Monoco is a veteran when it comes to combat, since he’s part of the Gestral race. Even though they are not affected by the Paintress’ ability to paint death, he joins the expedition.

During combat, he utilizes the enemy’s skills against them, alongside the Bestial Wheel. He is a complex character who must be used carefully in battle for the best results. It’s equally important to have a good build for Monoco before taking him into battle in Clair Obscur Expedition 33.

The attributes which will be the best for Monoco will be Agility, Defense and Luck. With Agility and Defense, you can use most of Monoco’s weapons, since they scale off of these two stats.

Luck is always useful on any character just to simply increase their Critical Chance. Agility is also a great stat since it lets you move first in battle. Alternatively, if you don’t use moves or rely on critical hits with Monoco, you can consider going into Vitality instead.

Monoco has a smaller selection of weapons when compared to other characters. However, the choice of weapon is still just as crucial as the others. You can consider using Brumaro or Fragaro, due to their strong passive effects.

Brumaro lets you replay upon using a skill in Almighty Mask, and Fragaro gives you 100% Critical Chance in Almighty Mask. You can also consider using Joyaro if you are confident in your skills to dodge and parry all enemy attacks. Joyaro will effectively double your damage over time. Nusaro is also a weapon you can use, through which you can manipulate the Bestial Wheel on every parry.
