The Continent in Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 is a haunting blend of brutality and serenity. The inhabitants of this world are beautiful, yet step up close and they will tear you to shreds in moments. This is a fate that befell all the past expeditions, and you are here to defy it.

The Chromatic Danseuse is one such boss that intertwines beauty with violence. The enigmatic boss uses the grace of dance to attack you, making her hauntingly beautiful. The dance moves make her difficult to read, adding to the chaos of her already high damage. She can also summon clones, making the fight feel unfair and brutal.

Found past the Train Station Ruins Expedition Flag (Old Lumiere), the Chromatic Danseuse is a test of patience, but importantly, it is a test to see how well you can read your enemy. The flashy lights and dance moves embolden the attacks, but look past, and you’ll see predictable attack patterns. If you’re struggling and need help in beating the boss, we’re here to help. In this guide, we shall go over how to beat the Chromatic Danseuse in Clair Obscur Expedition 33.

The Chromatic Danseuse has two stances that she uses while fighting you – the Fire stance and the Ice stance. When in Fire stance, the boss is weak to Ice but will absorb Fire attacks to heal. In Ice Stance, the boss is weak to Fire but will absorb the Ice attacks to heal. You have to switch your offense based on what stance the boss assumes.

The boss will also summon two clones early on into the fight. These clones use the same attacks and will switch stance independent of the original boss. Since the clones act independently, you’ll also have to keep your eyes on their stance and attack accordingly.

As far as the boss’ attacks are concerned, there are only two you need to watch for. The first is the Dancing Combo. The boss summons orbs and shoots them right at you, seven in a row. Press the parry key a moment after the orb spawns to parry the attack. The other attack is the Gradient Fall, which requires a Gradient parry right before the boss lands.
