Does it make more sense to attack Danseuse in Clair Obscur Expedition 33? Or should you spare this friendly Nevron?

You’d think that a hostile place such as the Continent in Clair Obscur Expedition 33 will only have creatures that want to rip you apart. While there’s no shortage of those roaming around, there are several friendly NPCs you encounter on your journey as well. The game offers you the opportunity to initiate the attack on some of these allies, putting you in a great moral dilemma.
A prime example of this is your encounter with Danseuse. You can easily kill the Nevron for loot right now or choose to spare it. We recommend not attacking Danseuse in Clair Obscur Expedition 33 because that makes sense both from an ethical and reward standpoint. In this guide, we’ll explore the repercussions of both attacking and sparing the Nevron.
Consequences of Sparing Danseuse in Clair Obscur Expedition 33

You’ll come across several hostile Danseuse as you explore the game world. However, the Danseuse Teacher Nevron isn’t one of them. You meet this character in the Frozen Hearts region of the map. Go up and speak to it to receive an invitation for a dance. If you accept, you’ll have to parry all of the strikes from the Danceuse Teacher. Doing so will grant you a new outfit for Lune as a reward.
You can speak to the Danceuse once more, where it proposes a ‘last dance.’ Agreeing to this would mean attacking it. If you decline the proposal, you don’t get any rewards immediately. However, after you’ve progressed far enough in the game to kill the Paintress and unlock the flight ability for Esquie, you can access and talk to Blanche in the Fountain region.
Sparing Danseuse and any other friendly Nevron in your journey will earn you 100x Colour of Lumina from Blanche. This becomes permanently unavailable if you kill even one of the allied Nevrons before speaking with Blanche.

Consequences of Attacking Danceuse in Clair Obscur Expedition 33

If you decide to attack the friendly Nevron, you’ll need to defeat it to earn some rewards from the battle. You can claim the following from this fight:
- 3x Grandiose Chroma Catalyst
- Augmented Counter Picto, which increases your counterattack damage to enemies.
While these items might seem enticing, we’d still suggest sparing Danceuse until you speak to Blanche. The 100x Colour of Lumina is a significant boost that can improve your squad members significantly.
If you still want the drop from the Danceuse Teacher, you can first spare it, talk to Blanche, and then return to attack it. Following this sequence will allow you to claim the rewards from both Blanche and the Danceuse.
