Explore Sky Island in Clair Obscur Expedition 33 with this complete guide covering bosses, weapons, Pictos, and the access route.

High above the main regions of the Continent lies Sky Island. It’s part of the larger overworld of Clair Obscur Expedition 33, though it feels like its own enclosed space once you reach it. If you are planning a visit, there are a few things you need to know.
Sky Island doesn’t stretch for miles. What it offers is straightforward: a rest flag, one boss, one weapon, and one Pictos. Each of these has its use, but none are buried under layers of paths or puzzles.
In this article, we will walk you through every step you need to take while exploring Sky Island in Clair Obscur Expedition 33.
Everything You Need To Know About Sky Island in Clair Obscur Expedition 33
Getting to Sky Island

To reach it, Esquie must learn how to fly, which only becomes possible at the start of Act 3. Until then, the island remains out of reach. Once you have unlocked that ability, look east of Coastal Cave. You will spot it hovering near the Forgotten Battlefield. Travel is simple once you know where to go—there’s only one route in.
What You Will Find First
The moment you land, a single Expedition Flag marks the area’s entry point. This functions as both a rest stop and a fast travel location. Sky Island itself is compact. You won’t have to wander too far to see what it offers, but each step counts.
Boss Fight: Chromatic Glaise

One optional boss awaits here: Chromatic Glaise. This enemy isn’t tied to the main storyline, so you can skip it if you prefer. If you take it on, keep in mind its clear weaknesses—Fire and Ice. Attacks aligned with either will give you an advantage.
What You Get From the Boss
Defeating Chromatic Glaise earns you Urnaro, a weapon built for Monoco. It carries an Earth element and a Power rating of 3422. Among the stats, Vitality is ranked S, and Luck stands at A. The remaining categories, Might, Agility, and Defense, offer no added bonuses.
Collect the Pictos: Greater Slow

Before you leave, head past the battle site. Up a nearby staircase, you will find Greater Slow. This Pictos grants a 15% bonus to Slow Speed reduction. It also increases Defense by 647 and Speed by 266. It’s the only Pictos you will come across here, so it’s worth collecting if you are building out status-based strategies.
