The Sunless Cliffs is an explorable area in Clair Obscur Expedition 33. The continent is vast, and you can discover hidden secrets such as superior loot and optional boss battles. This area doesn’t have much to offer, but you can unlock a new hairstyle after defeating the Bald Mime.
This article will cover tips and tricks to defeat this enemy and explain what your party can gain after a victorious fight.

Where To Find the Sunless Cliffs in Clair Obscur Expedition 33?
The entrance to the Sunless Cliffs is near Sirene, in the southeast region of the overworld. Clair Obscur Expedition 33 has a massive map, and it’s easy to get lost. It’s important to note that you must follow the main story before entering this optional area, and Esquie must learn how to fly first. This is the same requirement needed to reach the Flying Casino.
Once you reach the entrance, follow the path until you see the Chroma Portal Expedition Flag. Approach it, and you’ll need to select one expeditioner to enter and face the Bald Mime alone. We recommend sending your strongest party member to face this boss first, as it will help you learn its move sets before attempting it with other members.
The Bald Mime isn’t the strongest enemy in the game and is fairly easy to defeat. Always stay on the offensive, but keep your guard up and be ready to parry and dodge incoming strikes. Every enemy has a breaking point, and you must apply pressure to put the Mime in its rightful place. Once the break meter is full, unleash a flurry of heavy attacks while the Mime is stunned.

Once the Bald Mime is defeated, you can face it four more times with the remaining party members. You will also receive a Picto called “The One.” Here are the stats for “The One”:

A powerful Picto isn’t the only reward you get from defeating the Mime. Here are the new hairstyles for each expeditioner after defeating this optional boss:

- Bald Haircut (Lune)
- Bald Haircut (Monoco)
The Mime will disappear after you face it four more times. This optional boss is an excellent challenge to test the skills of each expeditioner without any support.
