In this guide, we shall go over the Wear and Tear sliders in College Football 26 and explain the settings in detail.

College Football 26 is a game that aims to fully recreate the magic of college football in video game format. The game does so by using licensed teams, faithfully recreated opening segments, authentic broadcasts, and most importantly, Wear and Tear sliders.
Wear and Tear sliders, just as their name suggests, determine the level of wear and tear your players face over the course of the season in Dynasty Mode. Your players are human, after all, and the more they play, the more their bodies will decline. We will discuss these sliders in detail below.

Wear and Tear Sliders in College Football 26 Explained

As stated earlier, the Wear and Tear sliders in College Football 26 are used to determine the wear and tear your players suffer over a Dynasty Mode season. These sliders take note of the overall stress your players face and then determine the toll it takes on their bodies.
For instance, if you use a player with no breaks nonstop, they will experience fatigue. If you keep using them despite that, the toll will be heavy, and you could risk injuring the player. The stress is not only determined on a macro seasonal level but also on a micro level, game to game. If your player is on the receiving end of harsh tackles, it will take a toll on their body. Take too many harsh tackles over the course of a few games, and you could risk injuring that player.

There’s a lot of depth to the Wear and Tear slider mechanic, and you have to individually take care of each player on your team. As cool as these sliders are, however, they are harsh. Playing on the default settings, your players will be injured nonstop.
The Wear and Tear sliders are set to 50 by default, and this is too high in our opinion. To have the most authentic experience possible, we recommend tuning the sliders to a range of 35–45. This is the best and most balanced way to experience the game and comes with just the right amount of tactical nuance.
