Are Naruto Films Considered Fillers?
Fans generally consider Naruto films to be fillers since they do not directly impact the main storyline of the series. However, some films contain plot elements that connect to the main storyline or character arcs. An example of this is Naruto: The Last, which fans regard as more canon. This is because of how much it details Naruto and his relationship with Hinata. Only a few films provide greater context or insight into the characters and their interactions, making them worth watching.
Can You Skip the Episodes From the Entire Naruto Filler List?
Many Naruto fans suggest that you should avoid the fillers. They do not support the storyline of Naruto’s journey. They can slow down the pace and are not in the Manga. For you to focus on Naruto becoming the Hokage, avoiding those filler episodes may be the best option. Best to have a clean and concise narrative.
This becomes even more true for Boruto as most of Boruto‘s anime is counteracted by the number of filler episodes, and some of them don’t add value to the series as a whole. But, of course, if curiosity comes in or you want to explore some out-of-scope moments for your favorite characters, some fillers may still present entertainment.
What Do You Miss by Skipping the Naruto Filler Episodes?
You should not skip Naruto filler list episodes if you’re interested in extra character backstories and unique moments outside the main plot. For example, Kakashi’s Anbu Arc in Naruto Shippuden builds a deeper realization of the past about Kakashi, and from the original Naruto series, Gotta See! Gotta Know! Kakashi-Sensei’s True Face! is a funny adventure of Naruto discovering Kakashi’s face. Even Boruto has filler episodes with fresh perspectives on the next generation of ninjas, such as Fireworks of Love, where Boruto and Kakashi resolve a family feud against the backdrop of visually appealing fireworks.
By skipping the fillers, you miss out on some major character developments and new angles that make the story more rich and detailed. They are a ‘sigh of relief’ compared to intense arcs, thus providing lighter moments through emotional growth. Besides, they lead you to various parts of the Naruto world left untouched by the manga, so you can have a complete grasp of the characters as well as their stories.
Most of the filler episodes in the entire Naruto series portray adventures and character growth that the canon does not include. While they are not important for the plot, they are fun!
