The Biowere Team in the official post has confirmed that Dragon Age 4: Dreadwolf is finally in the Alpha stage of Development. They completed the crucial milestone and the game is playable from “the opening scenes of the first mission to the very end”. The developers explain that when the game hits the alpha milestone it all comes together.

However, the game isn’t ready, yet. There is a lot still to do and the Alpha stage is very important for a couple of reasons. General Manager Gary McKay explained it’s now the time to polish the visual fidelity of the game and iterate on gameplay components.
They will now use many sources of feedback to achieve it including the opinion of the community and closed tests. This will result in a better understanding of what requires more improvements and how to adapt the current build to the players’ needs in the end.
Additionally, from now, it’s possible to evaluate the player progression and narrative cohesion. The team will focus on expanding the aspects of the game, that are essential for the fans. The story, the dialogues and the relationships the characters will form with the environment in Dragon Age. NPC characters were always a significant part of every Dragon Age game and it’ll be one of the main priorities in the upcoming months.
Gary McKay expresses that the team can’t wait to tell and show us more about the new culture and locations we’ve never seen before – the Tevinter Imperium.
Finally, the Biowere team is hoping to be open with the community and as a result, in the upcoming months, we can expect new information and updates on Dragon Age: Dreadwolf development.
The game was announced in December 2018 when we could watch the first Dragon Age: Dreadwolf Teaser Trailer during the Game Awards 2018. Two years later we were presented with a Cinematic trailer and Behind The Scenes of the upcoming big Bioware title.
