Dave the Dive In the Jungle was revealed during TGA 2024. Here is all you need to know about the upcoming experience.
The Game Awards 2024 saw the official announcement for Dave the Diver “In the Jungle”. Fans of the 8-bit game genre should rejoice because they are getting some extra content for the never-ending diving game. By the looks of it and the official trailer, it appears to be an expansion pack, much like how there have been some before.
Dave the Diver’s Brand New Game? All We Know So Far
Unlike some crossover packs like Dredge and Godzilla, which were free, “In the Jungle” appears to be a paid expansion. Instead of buying a new game at the same price, MINTROCKET might list it as an expansion and charge players for it.
This could be because we can observe several notable changes in the upcoming expansion. And unlike the previous DLCs, it may not be given out for free given the breadth of the content. We could be wrong though.
- One change we observed was the fact that it’s not just a jungle setting. Instead, we could end up experiencing a dense and marshy location, like the Amazon.
- We can also see a 4×4 on the ground. Dave the Diver might stick to his original work while a new friend, or Cobra himself, helps out in hunting. Just a speculation.
- Either way, we know that the game will have to have a new narration and reason for the team’s visit to this location. Perhaps another anomaly like the mysterious Blue Hole?
- Bancho would also have to expand his menu past just Sushis this time.
- Lastly, something we know for sure is that the 8-bit content will be coming in late 2025. So, there is still plenty of time for players to prepare.
Although there is no confirmation, we should be able to play the same old Blue Hole until we apply the expansion. If the developers are generous enough, we may also be able to revisit the area for some unique fish to catch! We will have to wait and see.
