The Call of Duty X Squid Game 2 collaboration is out to celebrate the release of the highly anticipated Squid Game Season 2. This hot new collaboration mixes the chaotic shooter aspects of Call of Duty with the death games theme of Squid Game. We now have new themed skins and entirely new game modes based on what you’ve seen on the show.

Dead Light, Green Light is a new limited-time mode making its debut in Call of Duty Black Ops 6 Zombies. This event mode takes the familiar yet deadly Red Light, Green Light game from the show and adds its own unique Zombies twist to it. The rules of the mode can be a little confusing, and not understanding them could lead to death and frustration.

If you have any confusion about the mode, our guide should have you covered. In this guide, we shall go over and explain the new Dead Light, Green Light mode in Call of Duty Black Ops 6 Zombies.

What Are Red, Green, and Dead Light?

As we stated earlier, this game mode is based on the Red Light, Green Light game from the show but with an added Dead Light mode. In this game, the show’s iconic doll Young-hee monitors your movements through phases. The rules for these phases are given below.

Green Light

As seen in the two seasons of Squid Game, the Green Light phase works similarly to a traffic signal, allowing you to move freely. The doll Young-hee looks away, and you have the liberty to move as you see fit. There are no repercussions or punishments for doing so. The other modes, however, are a different story.

Red Light

This is where the real fun begins. In this phase, the doll Young-hee faces you and monitors all movement. In the show, movement means death; however, that is not the case in Zombies. Here, moving will drain your Essence, which is the currency needed to survive the game mode. Staying still is near impossible as waves of zombies come straight for your jugular. You can aim and rotate as you see fit, but any other movements are at your own risk.

Dead Light

The Dead Light game mode follows the same rules as the Red Light mode. Movement during the phase drains your Essence. You are free to turn and aim, but movement is at your own risk. The challenge in this game mode comes from the larger waves of zombies. You’ll constantly find yourself overwhelmed and swarmed. Passing through this phase requires precise aim and strategy.
