The Ammit AR2 is a Precision Frame Solar Auto Rifle reintroduced in Season of Plunder that can be obtained from the Gunsmith. It is a very easy to acquire weapon that can be crafted almost right away which allows the god roll to be crafted almost immediately.

The Ammit and its Deepsight pattern can be acquired from the Foundry Resonance quest that serves as a tutorial for crafting weapons in Destiny 2. It shines both in PvE and PvP. It is not the best-in-slot for either type of activity but it is very good and easy to acquire. That makes it a very powerful weapon to get in the early and mid-game until you fill out your weapon collection.

First of all, looking at our Barrel Perks, Arrowhead Brake makes our recoil direction perfect. You could go with something like Smallbore or Hammer-Forged as well to improve Range or Stability. Appended Mag is the go-to for PvE weapons to allow weapons to keep firing longer at targets. Flared Magwell is also a decent option, allowing for a slightly faster reload.
For our main perks, the obvious choice for Column 4 is Incandescent. Its just a great perk all around and is even better if you are using a Solar subclass. Don’t shy away from Pugilist or Adrenaline Junkie if you can build around it, but Incandescent is typically the best option. Column 3 has a few interesting options with Ambitious being the preferred. Ambitious Assassin allows you to keep shredding through more minor combatants by increasing your ammo capacity.
Ammit is a great weapon to have in your energy slot for most content. It rips through minor combatants and is just a great all-around weapon until you get the perfect weapon to supplement your build.

This thing is an absolute monster in PvP. Precision Frames got a buff and the Ammit is just so easy to use and get. Use Hammer-Forged Rifling for its barrel to get that range up. High-Calibur Rounds increase range and do a little bit of flinch on your targets helping edge out one-on-one wins. This thing is legitimately hard to miss with both on mouse-and-keyboard and controller.
To increase this monster weapon’s consistency even more, Dynamic Sway Reduction makes Ammit a laser beam. Add in Gutshot Straight to allow for more body body shot damage and you have a weapon that kills at absolutely insane ranges. This weapon is favored by top-end and low-skill players alike.
The Ammit is one of the best weapons to get early in the game. It is easy to get and is just really good at everything. If you find yourself struggling in PvP, craft this bad boy and profit.
How to Get the Ammit AR2 in Destiny 2
While you can get the Ammit from the Gunsmith or even randomly from legendary engrams, the fastest way is to travel to the Enclave on Savauthun’s Throne World and pick up the Foundry Resonance quest. Doing this quest will net you the two Deepsight Resonance patterns you need to craft the weapon in very easy and streamlined process. After that, just craft the weapon and then level it up. Doing the quest will also grant you access Foundry Shaping quest in order to craft the Taipan-4fr, another easy-to-get and great weapon.
