Braytech Werewolf is a kinetic precision frame auto rifle reintroduced in Episode: Revenant for the 2024 Festival of the Lost event. There have been several iterations of this weapon since 2019, but only the most current one is available. As a Precision Frame auto rifle, it is a consistent and easy to use weapon in PvE and PvP. The Braytech Werewolf can be enhanced, improving its perks. This guide will discuss the PvE and PvP god rolls and how to get the Braytech Werewolf auto rifle.
How to Get Braytech Werewolf in Destiny 2
You obtain Braytech Werewolf from Haunted Lost Sectors during the Festival of the Lost event. You can also turn in Eerie engrams and focus the weapon at Eva Levante in the Tower. This weapon can only be obtained during the Festival of the Lost event, so get it while you can.
What Is the Braytech Werewolf God Roll in Destiny 2?
God rolls are highly sought after because they are typically the best combination of stats and traits available on a particular weapon. Because the sandbox differs in PvE and PvP, there are typically god rolls for each one. The Braytech Werewolf has some great perks that will let it do well in both PvE and PvP. Its PvE roll while not particularly unique is powerful. The PvP roll is all about building on the Precision frame’s strengths which are its consistency and ease of use.
PvE Braytech Werewolf God Roll
The best perks for the Braytech Werewolf PvE God Roll are Arrowhead Brake, Appended Mag, Rewind Rounds, and Kinetic Tremors. These provide important stats, utility, and damage for the weapon.
The following list is the best perks for the Braytech Werewolf PvE God Roll in Destiny 2:
- Barrel: Arrowhead Brake
- Magazine: Appended Mag
- Column 3 Trait: Rewind Rounds
- Column 4 Trait: Kinetic Tremors
- Masterwork: Reload Speed
- Origin Trait: Search Party
- Weapon Mod: Heavy Ammo Finder Enhancement
PvE Breakdown
Precision frame auto rifles are not particularly favored in PvE but that is not to say that they are bad. While not the worst of the auto rifles, they are very middle of the road. They can still be used to great effectiveness with the right traits.
Like most auto rifles, the Braytech Werewolf benefits from the increased handling and recoil direction from Arrowhead Brake. Any magazine perk will do on this weapon, but Appended Mag will grant you some extra rounds. The main draw of the Braytech Werewolf is in its 3rd and 4th column traits. Rewind Rounds and Kinetic Tremors are the perfect combination for this weapon. Rewind Rounds ensures that you will be able to keep putting rounds down range. Kinetic Tremors will increase the overall damage out put of the weapon especially against larger health targets.
Even though it’s not the best archetype for PvP, the Braytech Werewolf could be a powerful option to have in your arsenal. It is not necessarily worth chasing but you should get a few good rolls worth looking at as you farm for other weapons during the Festival of the Lost
PvP Braytech Werewolf God Roll
The best perks for the Braytech Werewolf PvP God Roll are Hammer-Forged Rifling, Ricochet Rounds, Lone Wolf, and Tap the Trigger. These provide important stats, utility, and damage for the weapon.
The following list is the best perks for the Braytech Werewolf PvP God Roll in Destiny 2:
- Barrel: Hammer-Forged Rifling
- Magazine: Ricochet Rounds
- Column 3 Trait: Lone Wolf
- Column 4 Trait: Tap the Trigger
- Masterwork: Range
- Origin Trait: Search Party
- Weapon Mod: Ballistics
PvP Breakdown
Precision frames are more favored in PvP than PvE, but they aren’t meta-defining by any means. They can be effective on maps where lanes are more defined and firefights are more drawn out. Auto rifles suffer on maps that allow for peak shooting against weapons like hand cannons and pulse rifles.
The Braytech Werewolf can max out its range stat with the right perks and mods. You will need to have Hammer-forged Rifling and Ricochet Rounds to do it. A Range masterwork and a Ballistics mod will then complete the jump to 100 range. You can get by with perks like Dynamic Sway Reduction or Zen Moment, but the new perk Lone Wolf is probably the best of the bunch for the passive bonuses it provides. Column 4 has a lot of great perks to choose from and all of them will be effective in one from or another. For its consistency, Tap the Trigger is a great option.
The Braytech Werewolf may not be meta-changing, but it will perform well in the sandbox. This version of the auto rifle is one of its better iterations for PvP. A solid weapon for chasing but not necessarily one to get bent out of shape over if you don’t get it.
FAQ about the Braytech Werewolf God Roll Guide
Q1. Can I get previous versions of the Braytech Werewolf?
Answer: No, you can only get the most current version of the Braytech Werewolf during the Festival of the Lost. Old versions of the weapon that anyone may already have will remain in their inventory and will not be updated to the new version.
Q2. Can I get the Horror Story auto rifle along with Braytech Werewolf?
Answer: No, the Horror Story auto rifle is not currently in the Festival of the Lost loot pool. It seems that Bungie has set it up to only have one weapon active in the loot pool per event. This makes sense as these weapons are the exact same archetype.
