Destiny 2 Embraced Identity Sniper Rifle

This guide has been updated for Episode: Echoes and The Final Shape expansion.

Embraced Identity is a void adaptive frame sniper rifle introduced in The Final Shape expansion. You get your first Embraced Identity by playing through the Final Shape post-campaign missions and can get it at random drops in the Pale Heart destination afterward. While not unique like most of the other Pale Heart weapons, it is still a great choice when you need a good void sniper rifle.

The best perks for the Embraced Identity PVE God Roll are Arrowhead Brake, Appended Mag, Reconstruction, and Fourth Times the Charm. These provide important stats, utility, and damage for the weapon.

The following list is the best perks for the Embraced Identity PVE God Roll in Destiny 2:

  • Barrel: Arrowhead Brake
  • Magazine: Appended Mag
  • Column 3 Trait: Reconstruction
  • Column 4 Trait: Fourth Times the Charm
  • Masterwork: Handling
  • Origin Trait: Dealer’s Choice
  • Weapon Mod: Back-Up Mag

Embraced Identity may not be a unique or rare frame of sniper rifle, but it does allow for some rare trait combinations. Arrowhead Brake and Appended Mag are PvE staples and are just as useful as ever. The rifle gets interesting when you combine perks like Reconstruction and Fourth Times the Charm. If you hit every shot, you can fire 19 shots without having to reload the weapon. During a longer damage phase, this allows for some high total damage numbers. For a shorter damage phase, choose Precision Instrument instead.

Bungie really seems to be playing into unique power fantasies with the new Pale Heart Weapons, and even something as generic as a void sniper rifle can be interesting with the right perks. Everything is situational, but a unique roll is always good in at least one or two situations.

The best perks for the Pro Memoria PVP God Roll are Fluted Barrel, Accurized Rounds, Opening Shot, and Moving Target. These provide important stats, utility, and damage for the weapon.

The following list is the best perks for the Pro Memoria PVP God Roll in Destiny 2:

  • Barrel: Fluted Barrel
  • Magazine: Accurized Rounds
  • Column 3 Trait: Opening Shot
  • Column 4 Trait: Moving Target
  • Masterwork: Handling
  • Origin Trait: Dealer’s Choice
  • Weapon Mod: Targeting Adjuster

Embraced Identity benefits from getting as much range and handling as possible. Fluted Barrel and Accurized Rounds are the best fits for pumping up both numbers. For its main traits, it only has one option in each column that benefits a PvP environment. Opening Shot is a PvP staple and makes sure that the first shot fired has as much range as possible. Moving Target allows for more movement while firing, which can make things easier in a fast-paced PvP match.

While the Pale Heart sniper rifle doesn’t have a lot going for it that’s unique, it still has perks that allow it to perform in PvP. It will service just fine in any PvP environment where you just need something easy that works.

How to Get the Embraced Identity in Destiny 2
