Destiny 2: Facet of Command – Prismatic Subclass Fragment

Prismatic Subclass offers 21 fragments for all three classes in Destiny 2, including the Facet of Command.

Destiny 2 - Facet of Command – Prismatic Subclass Fragment

Players gain access to the new Prismatic subclass with the Final Shape expansion. Firstly, it’s unique and combines specific class abilities for different damage types. Using dark and light abilities, buffs or debuffs fill two corresponding meters, and once they are fully charged, your character enters the special state called Transcendence. Moreover, Transcendence functions like a mini super and busts your defense and offensive capabilities.

Once you unlock a Facet of Command Prismatic Fragment, it becomes available for all your characters.

Facet of Command in Destiny 2

The facet of Command is a new fragment in the Prismatic subclass introduced with the Final Shape expansion in Destiny 2. Here’s an in-depth look at what this fragment does, its benefits, and how it can be effectively used in different builds and gear setups.

The Facet of Command fragment grants the following effects:

  • Freezing or Suppressing a target reloads your equipped weapons and increases stability, aim assist, and airborne effectiveness.
  • Defeating Frozen or Suppressed targets creates a Stasis Shard or Void Breach.
  • Requires 1 Subclass energy

Please Note: The facet of Command received a fix in Bungie’s recent hotfix: Fixed an issue where the Facet of Command reloading behavior could be activated repeatedly with no cooldown.

How to Get Facet of Command

Here are simple steps on how to get Facet of Command in Destiny 2:

1. Locate the Facet of Command Prismatic Chest:

  • Go to the west of The Impasse.
  • Head toward The Divide.
  • Proceed through the highway tunnels from The Impasse landing zone.
  • Approximately halfway through, where you encounter the Shrieker, find the Prismatic Chest to the right, out in the open.

2. Obtain the Divided Prismatic Key:

  • Turn around from the Prismatic Chest location and head through the open windows to find a Transmat station.
  • Interact with the station to conjure a Scorch Cannon.
  • Use the Scorch Cannon to break large blocks of ice scattered throughout the underground area.

3. Solve the Elemental Charges Puzzle:

  • Collect the elemental charges from the ice blocks and bring them to the transformers next to the Transmat station.
  • Charge the transformers with the elemental charges in the correct order to reach exactly 10 charges:
    • Arc Charges = 2 each
    • Solar Charges = 3 each
    • Void Charges = 4 each
  • Example combination: two Void Charges (8) + one Arc Charge (2) or two Solar Charges (6) + two Arc Charges (4).

4. Defeat the Enemies:

  • After charging the transformers, multiple enemies will spawn outside the area where the Prismatic Chest is located.
  • Defeat all enemies, including the Subjugator boss that appears at the end.

5. Open the Prismatic Chest:

  • With the Divided Prismatic Key obtained from defeating the enemies, interact with the Prismatic Chest to open it and claim the Facet of Command.

Benefits and Usage

suppose you rely on freezing or suppressing enemies in your playstyle. In that case, the Facet of Command is an influential fragment that enhances weapon handling and effectiveness while providing additional benefits when applying crowd control abilities. Particularly effective in high-intensity combat scenarios such as Nightfalls, Raids, and PvP, where quick weapon handling and ability regeneration are necessary. Additionally, you should aim to defeat frozen or suppressed targets to generate Stasis Shards or Void Breaches for more class benefits.

Hunters

Destiny 2: All Hunter Prismatic Subclass Abilities

Hunters can use the Facet of Command fragment with abilities like Silence and Squall (Stasis Super) to freeze or void to suppress targets. This will reload their weapons and enhance their weapon handling, making follow-up shots more effective. Creating Stasis Shards or Void Breaches further improves your ability to control the battlefield and regenerate abilities.

Titans

Titans can benefit from this fragment using abilities such as Glacial Quake (Stasis Super) or Suppressor Grenade (Void). Freezing or suppressing targets will reload your weapons and boost weapon handling stats to maintain offensive pressure. Similarly, the additional Stasis Shards or Void Breaches will help with sustain.

Warlocks

Warlocks can use this fragment with abilities like Winter’s Wrath (Stasis Super) or Nova Bomb (Void Super). Freezing or suppressing targets will reload your weapons and enhance weapon handling, making it easier to eliminate enemies. Creating Stasis Shards or Void Breaches will add ability regeneration and crowd control.

Gear Synergies

To maximize the potential of the Facet of Command, consider the following gear and mods:

  • Hunters: Exotics like Graviton Forfeit (increases the duration of invisibility and recharges melee faster) can synergize well with this fragment by enhancing the suppression effects. Frostees (increases grenade, melee, and dodge regeneration while sprinting) can also be beneficial for maintaining ability uptime.
  • Titans: Exotics like Doom Fang Pauldrons (Void melee kills recharge your Super) can pair well with the Void suppression aspect. Icefall Mantle (replaces Barricade with an overshield that can freeze targets) can complement the Stasis freezing abilities.
  • Warlocks: Eye of Another World (highlights priority targets and improves ability regeneration) can also help maintain ability uptime.
