If you’re diving into Act III of Episode: Heresy, you’ve likely already heard of the Hundredfold Path quest. It’s a quest that’s closely tied to the Barrow-Dyad Exotic SMG. But how do you start the quest? And what exactly does the quest involve?
If you’re scratching your head trying to figure out the answers to these questions, this guide is for you. Here, we’ll explain how you can begin the Hundredfold Path quest in Destiny 2. We’ll then take a look at how you can complete this quest line.
How To Start the Hundredfold Path Quest in Destiny 2?
The first thing you need to ensure before pursuing this quest is that you have the Barrow-Dyad SMG in your inventory. Without it, the quest will never trigger. Once you have the exotic, follow the steps mentioned below to begin the quest.
- Step 1: Equip the Barrow-Dyad SMG
- Step 2: Complete the Sunless Cell Strike content of Act III. While you can choose any difficulty setting, we’d suggest keeping it at Normal for a quicker run.
- Step 3: Defeating the boss at the Sunless Cell Strike will give you the Trembling Osseous Spine item. With this in your possession, head to Eris’ apartment in the Last City.
- Step 4: Once there, interact with the Slab and exchange the Trembling Osseous Spine to get the Hundredfold Path quest in return.

How To Complete the Hundredfold Path Quest in Destiny 2?
The Hundredfold Path quest tasks you with collecting 10 Tithing Wormspawns. This will require you to grind for some time in The Nether. Simply keep your eyes peeled to spot white, worm-like creatures while you’re there. Use the Path of Ambition to find these particular worms in the game.
After you have 10 of these in your inventory, you’ll need to head back to the Sunless Cell. You’ll have to use a weapon with a high rate of fire to complete this run of the Sunless Cell. The Barrow-Dyad isn’t mandatory this time around. You can choose from any Auto Rifles, Machine Guns, and SMGs.
Simply defeat the primary boss of the Sunless Cell with one of the high rate of fire weapons, and the Hundredfold Path quest will come to an end. As soon as you finish the quest, you’ll receive the Exotic Catalyst for the Barrow-Dyad SMG.
