Bows in PvE are powerhouses and some of the strongest anti-champion weapons in the game due to their high damage profiles and accuracy. With good perk pools and ease of use, they are suitable for any level of PvE, but really shine in end game content where enemies health bars are higher.

Pre Astyanax IV has a solid perk pool for PvE depending upon your desired output of the weapon. There’s a strong selection of utility tools like Shoot to Loot, and strong add clear perks like Incandescent. However, focusing on all around useful perks, the recommended perk combination is Archer’s Tempo and Explosive Payload. This gives a damage boost with a small area of effect explosion, draw time boost, and is effective against all combatant types. Draw time is incredibly important on bows, allowing them to fire faster, so stacking into draw time is incredibly important with our string and masterwork.

Overall, this could be one of the best bows available for PvE content due to a great perk pool, amazing stats, use of adept mods, and the ability to farm it quite easily when its in the Grandmaster rotation.

Pre Astyanax IV PvP God Roll

Our choices for the Pre Astyanax IV PvP God Roll are:

ColumnTrait
BowstringPolymer String
ArrowCompact Arrow Shaft
Column 3 TraitArcher’s Tempo
Column 4 TraitOpening Shot
MasterworkDraw Time

Bows are definitely one of the weaker archetypes in PvP due to their slow time to kill and unforgiveness if missing shots. Most being over half a second in draw time, if you miss your initial shots there is a good chance you don’t get to land any others. Even with these weaknesses, they are incredibly powerful in team shooting due to their high damage allowing your teammates to clean up kills even if you cannot.

Pre Astyanax IV is no slouch when it comes to PvP perks, boasting some great accuracy and consistency perks. The combination of Archer’s Tempo and Opening Shot is one of the best pairings available to allow high accuracy and the ability to shoot a second clean up shot if your first is a headshot.

Regardless of individual playstyle, the power of bows damage cannot be understated especially when team shooting. Paired with a clean up weapon, you can be a force to be reckoned with.
