Learn about the Rake Angle God Roll for PVE and PVP content, the best perks, and how to get it in this Destiny 2 guide!
Rake Angle is a stasis aggressive frame glaive introduced into the Nightfall playlist during Episode Revenant. Glaives fill a specific niche in the sandbox, mostly acting as survival weapons due to the shield they produce. Aggressive glaives are slower firing albeit harder hitting weapons. The Rake Angle can be enhanced, granting it access to enhanced perks in Columns 3 and 4. There is also an Adept version of the weapon that can be obtained on certain weeks during Grandmaster Nightfalls. In this guide, we will discuss the PvE and PvP god rolls and how to get the Rake Angle glaive.

What Is the Rake Angle God Roll in Destiny 2?
A god roll is the best combination of perks and masterwork that a weapon can get. God rolls are often sought after as they are considered the ultimate drop of that weapon and the most effective roll used in most content. In most situations, there are two god rolls for any gun, a roll for PvE and one for PvP. The Rake Angle has a great stasis synergy roll that just begs to utilized with its Hakke origin trait. Glaives still aren’t great in PvP, and even the best rolled glaives like the Rake Angle can’t change that.
PvE Rake Angle God Roll
The best perks for the Rake Angle PvE God Roll are Low-Impedance Windings, Appended Mag, Rimestealer, and Chill Clip. These provide important stats, utility, and damage for the weapon.
The following list is the best perks for the Rake Angle PvE God Roll in Destiny 2:
- Barrel: Low-impedance Windings
- Magazine: Appended Mag
- Adept Flex: Alloy Magazine
- Column 3 Trait: Rimestealer
- Column 4 Trait: Chill Clip
- Masterwork: Shield Duration
- Origin Trait: Hakke Breach Armaments
- Weapon Mod: Backup Mag
- Adept Flex: Adept Mag
PvE Breakdown
The Rake Angle is the first stasis glaive that goes in the kinetic slot and begs to be used for stasis synergy. It comes with the origin trait Hakke Breach Armaments, which increases its damage to stasis crystals furthering its stasis symbiosis. Building into shield duration is pretty typical of glaives, so the Low-Impedance Windings trait is a natural choice here. The magazine on aggressive frame glaives is abysmal, so make sure you take traits and mods that increase it. The best combination of those traits and mods will depend on if you have the Adept version of the weapon or not.
As a stasis synergy weapon, there are really only two traits to consider for columns 3 and 4. They are of course Rimestealer and Chill Clip. Rimestealer will grant stacks of Frost Armor for every frozen enemy and stasis crystal shattered with this weapon. This pairs well with Chill Clip as it will slow and then freeze a target with the first two shots of the weapon. Overall, the Rake Angle is a great stasis synergy weapon, and one that grants even more defense with its inherent shield.
PvP Rake Angle God Roll
The best perks for the Rake Angle PvP God Roll are Tempered Truss Rod, Swap Mag, Impulse Amplifier, and Swashbuckler. These provide important stats, utility, and damage for the weapon.
The following list is the best perks for the Rake Angle PvP God Roll in Destiny 2:
- Barrel: Tempered Truss Rod
- Magazine: Swap Mag
- Column 3 Trait: Impulse Amplifier
- Column 4 Trait: Swashbuckler
- Masterwork: Handling
- Origin Trait: Vanguard’s Vindication
- Weapon Mod: Tactical
- Adept Flex: Adept Handling
PvP Breakdown
Glaives in PvP are a very niche choice, but they can be effective in the right hands. Their shield can save you in certain situations, but it is not the main thing that can make them powerful. With the right damage traits, the Rake Angle can do a powerful shot into a melee combo that can almost instantly kill a guardian. This does take some work to set up and requires a bit of skill, but players that master it will definitely cause a bit of a ruckus in the Crucible.
You will want to improve the handling of the weapon as much as possible as you will need to use it as a swap weapon early on until you get its damage trait Swashbuckler going. Tempered Truss Rod and Swap Mag both improve the weapons swap speed the best and are easy choices. The only real option in Column 3 is Impulse Amplifier as it will make your projectiles travel faster toward your targets. While it is a minor difference, Impulse Amplifier is the only trait that does anything useful at all for PvP.
