Learn about the Tinasha’s Mastery God Roll for PVE and PVP content, the best perks, and how to get it in this Destiny 2 guide!
Tinahsa’s Mastery is a stasis rocket-assisted frame sidearm introduced for the Iron Banner Playlist during Episode Revenant. Rocket-assisted sidearms are a favored weapon type in almost all PvE activities but tend to suffer in PvP. Unlike most sidearms, rocket-assisted frames are special weapons, meaning they use special ammo but hit harder than their primary cousins. The Tinasha’s Mastery can be enhanced, giving it Enhanced Traits in Columns 3 and 4. This guide will discuss the PvE and PvP god rolls and how to get the Tinasha’s Mastery Sidearm.
How to Get Tinasha’s Mastery in Destiny 2
Tinasha’s Mastery can be obtained from any Iron Banner Reward. Once the gun has been earned you can focus it at Lord Saladin for Iron Banner Engrams and Glimmer. Iron Banner is a limited-time competitive game mode that comes once every couple of months for two weeks. Each week a different mode of Iron Banner is featured.
What Is the Tinasha’s Mastery God Roll in Destiny 2?
A god roll is the best combination of perks and masterwork that a weapon can get. God rolls are often sought after as they are considered the ultimate drop of that weapon and the most effective roll used in most content. In most situations, there are two god rolls for any gun, a roll for PvE and one for PvP. As rocket-assisted frame sidearm, Tinasha’s Master is great in PvE. It won’t replace the other great rocket sidearms, but with its awesome utility roll, it will have a place in the sandbox. Like with most sidearms of its archetype, it suffers in PvP.

The following list is the best perks for the Tinasha’s Mastery PvE God Roll in Destiny 2:
- Launcher Barrel: Quick Launch
- Magazine: Appended Mag
- Column 3 Trait: Loose Change
- Column 4 Trait: Chill Clip
- Masterwork: Reload Speed
- Origin Trait: Skulking Wolf
- Weapon Mod: Heavy Ammo Finder Enhancement
PvE Breakdown
Rocket-assisted sidearms like Tinasha’s Master are already great general-use weapons in PvE. Tinasha’s Master adds to that great general use case by also adding a utility usage similar to the Riptide fusion rifle. Chill Clip is a great utility perk that applies slow stacks when the sidearm’s magazine is over 50 percent full. This allows it to do with Overload and Unstoppable champions inherently without the need for any artifact mods, making it one of the better rocket assisted sidearms for specialized content.
Quick Launch and Appended Mag are typical choices for all the rocket-assisted sidearms that have been released so far. Quick Launch increases the weapon’s velocity and handling, making the weapon draw faster and its projectiles reach their target faster. Appended Mag is useful on almost every weapon it can come on for its increase to magazine size with no inherent negative. Loose Change pairs very well with Chill Clip, increasing the weapon’s reload speed every time you apply the slow stacks. Overall, Tinasha’s Mastery is looking to become one of the better weapons in an already amazing archetype. Farm this weapon while you can.
PvP Tinasha’s Mastery God Roll
The best perks for the Tinasha’s Mastery PvP God Roll are Hard Launch, High-Velocity Rounds, Impulse Amplifier, and Adagio. These provide important stats, utility, and damage for the weapon.
The following list is the best perks for the Tinasha’s Mastery PvP God Roll in Destiny 2:
- Launcher Barrel: Hard Launch
- Magazine: High-Velocity Rounds
- Column 3 Trait: Impulse Amplifier
- Column 4 Trait: Adagio
- Masterwork: Velocity
- Origin Trait: Skulking Wolf
- Weapon Mod: Aerodynamics
PvP Breakdown
Despite being one of the better weapons for PvE, Tinasha’s Mastery suffers as much as any rocket-assisted sidearm in PvP. They simply do not do enough damage for their ammo requirement and difficulty of use in PvP. This is true of every rocket-assisted sidearm in PvP, and they just aren’t worth using. For the sake of possible changes to the archetype in PvP making them effective at some point in the future, we are going to give a recommended roll that will perform better than the others.
Since it is a projectile weapon rather than a hitscan weapon, increase the sidearm’s velocity will make hitting your targets much easier. Hard Launch and High-Velocity Rounds are the best options for increasing it to the highest it can go. Impulse Amplifier will further improve this. Most of the traits in Column 4 that work in PvP all do the same thing, increasing damage, but do it in different ways. Frenzy is a decent option if you can stay alive long enough for it to activate, but overall the best option we found was Adagio. It does require a kill, but after that kill it will allow for a fairly quick two shot kill with the weapon. Again this weapon is simply not a great option for PvP as of the writing of this guide, so this roll can be skipped for now.
