Welcome to our Destiny 2 Trustee and How to Get guide. The Trustee is a solar rapid-fire frame scout rifle launched with the release of the Deep Stone Crypt raid. This scout rifle, as with other Deep Stone Crypt weapons, recently got a loot refresh which catapulted this weapons desirability by introducing some strong perks.
Scout rifles have always been strong in end game PVE due to their ability to let you deal damage from far away, keeping you and your fireteam safe from enemies that can kill you in a few shots. In PVP, they are great for long range, passive play keeping you far enough away from rushers while still offering some great lethality.

How to Obtain Trustee
Trustee is obtained in the Deep Stone Crypt raid from the Beyond Light Expansion. Specifically, it has a chance to drop from the first encounter. Once acquired for the first time, it has a chance to drop from the two hidden chests as well. Every drop has a chance to drop with Deepsight Resonance, which can be extracted to unlock the pattern for crafting the weapon. After the final encounter, a loot chest can be interacted with to focus the weapon with Spoils of Conquest, provided the weapon has been obtained before and unlocked in collections. Once per week, the first weapon focused this way will have guaranteed Deepsight Resonance.

Barrel: For the barrel perk, we are going with Arrowhead Brake. This will give you better recoil direction giving you a better opportunity to land back-to-back shots. It also gives a small boost in weapon handling allowing you to swap to this weapon more quickly for damage.
Magazine: With the magazine, we are going to improve the weapons reload and stability and give it a few extra bullets choosing Tactical Mag.
Column 3 Perk: Our third column choice is Rapid Hit. This gives a five times stacking buff to reload, reload duration, and stability as you land rapid precision hits
Column 4 Perk: For our final column perk, Incandescent is the must have. This perk causes a small solar explosion after a kill that spreads scorch to nearby enemies. This gives us a little extra AOE damage and add clear.
Masterwork: Our obvious choice for masterwork is Handling, this will allow us to swap to the weapon faster should we need to stun a champion or swap to harder hitting weapon to take out a stunned champion.
Mod: For the mod, we are choosing Counterbalance Stock. This paired with our barrel gives up the most vertical and manageable recoil direction.
Conclusion: Scout rifles are a community favorite for end game PVE content with their massive strength being strong damage from far away. Since enemies are incredibly powerful in higher level content, its often more important to stay at a distance and stay alive than get aggressive and cost resurrections.

Magazine: Accurized Rounds are the choice for our mag. Accurized Rounds give a massive boost to the range stat which increases the range at which aim assist will fall off. This gives you the greater chance to land your shots from even farther.
Column 3 Perk: We are going with Surplus. This gives a boost to our handling, reload speed, and stability depending upon how many abilities we have currently fully charged.
Column 4 Perk: For our final perk, we are going with Opening Shot. This vastly increases our range, aim assist, and accuracy cone bonus during the first shot of our attack. With fast PVP TTKs its often the person who gets the first shot that wins and this gives us the best chance to do that.
Masterwork: Handling masterwork is a must have. This masterwork allows us to ready and aim down sights faster which could give you a small advantage in your engagements.
Mod: For the mod, we are choosing Counterbalance Stock. This paired with our barrel gives up the most vertical and manageable recoil direction.
Conclusion: Scouts offer a great passive playstyle weapon, allowing you to sit farther from danger while still having massive lethality. Scout rifles strengths are being able to hold a long angle lane and force your enemies to try and engage by other means.
