Popular Kick streamer Destiny has accused Twitch streamer Pirate Software of seeking help for solving puzzles in Outer Wilds.

Thor “Pirate Software” has received more criticism online after Kick star Destiny hinted that the streamer may have received assistance with puzzles in Outer Wilds during his broadcasts.
On January 18, 2025, Destiny reviewed a VOD of Pirate Software’s Outer Wilds. He noticed that the broadcaster seemed to look away from the screen after having trouble with an in-game challenge. Destiny speculated that Pirate Software had been looking at his phone, indicating that he might have looked up the solution. Destiny said,
“There’s no way that he would be so blatant about it though, right? He is clearly looking at his phone right now. There’s no way he would just go right now and instantly solve it. Like, he would at least fake trying to figure it out for a minute or two, right?”

The video has sparked significant outrage against the streamer, with many viewers accusing the Twitch star of cheating. Redditor @gamikhan claimed that he had cheated in other games as well.
“Cheated on animal well and outer wilds, wow what else has he cheated.”
Pirate Software WoW Controversy
Because of his behavior in the OnlyFangs guild, the game developer-turned-streamer faced criticism. Members of the guild have spent the last few weeks grinding on Hardcore servers, where characters are permanently removed and death is final.
A group of five players decided to retreat after becoming overwhelmed during a Dire Maul run, raising concerns about Pirate Software’s conduct. Two members died amid the confusion, and many blamed Pirate for it. He cast Ice Barrier on himself and declared that there was nothing he could have done to help his fellow guild members, even though as a Mage, his character could have used crowd control (CC) powers to help slow down angry mobs.
The result was a massive backlash, with many encouraging OnlyFangs leader and fellow streamer Sodapoppin to kick Pirate out of the guild. It’s been a continuous argument ever since. However, Pirate Software decided to talk about it in a long post on X.
We've received hundreds of messages like these both in and out of game along with thousands of meme messages trying to disrupt the stream on over 10,000 accounts. It's been a three day long hate train and the entire staff and myself have had to handle it all.

Many other creators…
Pirate Software closed his statement by thanking a number of OnlyFangs guild members who “reached out” to provide support during the fallout. He finished by stating that he is willing to play alongside guild members in a setting that is far distant from World of Warcraft.
“For those in the guild that reached out to me after all of this, thank you. Was fun running together and maybe we will again one day in a different game.”
This OnlyFangs stuff actually sucks. Lots of weird attack posts and people taking it too far. Putting everything in one place and washing my hands of it after this.

To start, here is the response about the Dire Maul run. From my perspective I didn't feel I could save anyone else…
