The Horadric Spellcraft system is one of the highlights of Diablo 4 Season 9, adding a customized spell crafting mechanism. By combining three elements—Catalysts, Infusions, and Arcana—you can create your personalized Horadric spell with unique effects and powers. Each element enhances different aspects of the spell. The Catalysts and Infusions determine the base power and elemental damage of the spell, while the Arcana grants unique additional effects. Frigid Heart is Legendary-tier Arcana. How To Obtain Frigid Heart in Diablo 4
While the Catalysts and Infusions can be obtained through the seasonal questline progression, acquiring Arcana involves another method. To obtain the Frigid Heart Arcana, you need to complete the Horadric Strongrooms and open the reward chest. Once you reach Tier 6 Horadric Knowledge, Legendary Arcana such as Frigid Heart become available as potential drops from the Horadric Strongrooms rewards.
How To Use Frigid Heart in Diablo 4
Unlike the Catalysts and Infusions, you can equip up to three Arcana at the Horadric Spellcraft section. Once equipped, the Frigid Heart grants a specialized Freeze effect for your Catalyst for 3.0 seconds. (+0.4 per rank) while offering unique effects for each:
- Celestial Surge: The Celestial Surge Oracular Rune explodes and Freezes enemies, then forms a second one after the strikes end.
- Disintegrate: Freeze enemies for 3.0 seconds after you evade with your Disintegrate beams. It also grants a 15% Dodge Chance for double during the period.
- Propulsion: Freeze enemies that collide twice for 3.0 seconds.
- Astral Pillar: The Astral Pillar flare Freezes nearby enemies for 3.0 seconds when removed. Your Lucky Hit Chance increases by 10% for 5 seconds for each Freeze, stacking up to 25%.
- Cosmic Anomaly: Anomalies have a 30% chance of preserving themselves instead of imploding while Freezing surrounding enemies.
Freezing enemies hinders their movement and attacks, providing you with a tactical edge and advantage during combat. Use Horadric Phials to upgrade Nightmare Orb Arcana up to Rank 5.
