Ava Kris Tyson and MrBeast parted ways in July 2024 after controversial allegations were made against Tyson.
YouTube star Jimmy “MrBeast” had a long partnership with Ava Kris Tyson (formerly Chris Tyson). Tyson had been part of Jimmy’s channel and company since its inception. However, earlier in July, she was faced with some serious allegations. This situation gave rise to waves of uproar within the online community, prompting Tyson to leave MrBeast’s company.
On July 24, 2024, she posted a couple of updates on her X.com account, explaining that she would “permanently step away” from Jimmy’s team. She wrote:
“I would like to apologize for any of my past behavior or comments if it hurt or offended anyone. It was not my intent. Seeing recent events we’ve mutually decided it’s best I permanently step away from all things MrBeast and social media to focus on my family and mental health.”

A day later (July 28, 2024), MrBeast himself took to his socials, weighing on the situation. He revealed that he had removed Ava Kris Tyson from the team. Additionally, he stated that he had hired an independent investigator to go through the allegations made against her. He wrote:
“During that time, I have been focused on hiring an independent third party to conduct a thorough investigation to ensure I have all the facts. That said, I’ve seen enough online and taken immediate action to remove Ava from the company, my channel, and any association with MrBeast. I do not condone or support any of the inappropriate actions.”
He added:
“I will allow the independent investigators the necessary time to conduct a comprehensive investigation and will take any further actions based on their findings.”

What Were the Allegations Against Ava Kris Tyson?
July 2024 was a tumultuous time for MrBeast and his crew. Ava Kris Tyson faced public backlash following several accusations of her being involved in inappropriate conversations with minors.
Additionally, she was seen interacting with and promoting Shadman’s artwork. Shadman is a controversial artist whose work has been accused of being “lolicon,” a term used for art that depicts minors in a sexualized manner.
Ava also responded to the situation by apologizing for her “so-called edgy jokes” from her early years on YouTube. However, she dismissed the grooming allegations. She wrote:

She added that many of the accusations stemmed from a time when she used edgy humor, but she also admitted that such jokes are not acceptable. She said:
“To lump these two factors together to create a narrative that my behavior extended beyond bad edgy jokes is disgusting and did not happen. In past years, I have learned that my old humor is not acceptable. I cannot change who I was, but I can continue to work on myself.”

Recently, YouTubers Rosanna Pansino and DogPack404 shared a purported “MrBeast work chat” that contained inappropriate messages involving minors. This Telegram chat group included Jimmy and other MrBeast crew members, including Ava Kris Tyson.
