Dispatch, starring Aaron Paul and Laura Bailey, is a new superhero workplace comedy game. The game was announced at the The Game Awards 2024 by Aaron Paul and Laura Bailey. During the event, they took the stage and “DISPATCHED” the game in a comical presentation. Along with Aaron Paul and Laura Bailey, the game also includes a star-studded cast of Jeffrey Wright, Erin Yvette, Alanah Pearce, Lance Cantstopolis, Matthew Mercer, and more. The artists are drawn from various entertainment fields such as acting, games, music, and YouTube.
Dispatch was developed by AdHoc Studio, which was formed by several members of Telltale Games who worked on hit titles such as The Wolf Among Us, Tales From the Borderlands, and The Walking Dead. Dispatch takes place in modern-day Los Angeles. You will take the role of Robert Robertson, who was once a superhero named Mecha Man but is now appointed as a dispatcher in a superhero dispatch center. Although the gameplay and narration are hilarious, the game likely contains some dark elements and topics.

Superhero Story in Another Perspective
It is clear that the title is an out-and-out superhero-based game. However, it won’t focus entirely on the usual good part, where superheroes save people. Instead, it seems like the game focuses on other perspectives of the superheroes, perhaps the darker side of them by exploring their personalities, similar to The Boys series. The game emphasizes how you manage the heroes while handling the internal politics in the office and chasing your goal of becoming a hero.

Telltale Games is known for its robust choice-driven narration. Similarly, Dispatch follows the same pattern, where the story narration is greatly affected by your dialogue choices.
Every decision you make alters the flow of the narration and impacts your relationships with allies and heroes. The choices may range from simple ones, such as the example shown in the trailer where you need to choose which voice you are mimicking, to extreme life-or-death situations.

We can say the title is a superhero-management game, as you take the role of a dispatcher in a superhero dispatch center. Apart from making choices, the game also puts you in situations where you need to make strategic decisions. The map allows you to track emergencies and dispatch the superheroes from your roster.
You need to make tactical decisions when choosing your superhero, as some are better suited for handling certain emergencies, and some may not be. You can also upgrade their skills to make them more effective in the field, which unlocks new abilities.
