Mecha Break’s Operation Storm or Mashmak mode offers expansive PvE content, blending the elements of battle royale and extraction gameplay.

Mecha Break is the latest addition to the hero shooter genre in the gaming industry. While it follows the core mechanics of popular multiplayer titles like Marvel Rivals and Overwatch 2, it replaces heroes with massive mech robots called Strikers. Players pilot these Strikers and take out foes in fast-paced, high-octane ground and aerial battles. Mecha Break primarily focuses on PvP (Player versus Player) gameplay, offering modes like classic 3v3 team deathmatch and 6v6 hero shooter. But does the Mecha Break feature a PvE Mode? The answer is yes — the multiplayer mecha shooter features a dedicated PvE Mode.
Besides the traditional PvP modes, the title features a unique PvPvE mode called Operation Storm, taking place in the Mashmak Islands. It includes substantial content that offers a deep and expansive PvE (Player versus Environment) experience.

Mecha Break Operation Storm’s PvE Mechanics, Explained

Operation Storm, also known as Mashmak mode, is a three-player co-op PvPvE Extraction mode. Players drop into the dangerous islands along with other squads. While PvP combat remains a part of this mode, the primary emphasis is on PvE objectives and exploration. The main goal is to collect as much loot as possible, complete various objectives, and successfully escape through the extraction points. However, it is not as simple as it sounds.
Players must fight their way through various powerful AI-controlled enemies such as airships, turrets, and tanks, and even encounter intense boss battles. To stand a chance, you must collect powerful gears and mods to upgrade your weapon to its maximum potential. Additionally, you can obtain valuable loot and parts from airdrops, which also attract other players.
Players will also face a constant threat of Corite Pulse Storms, which spread constantly throughout the island, forcing players to keep moving. The Mashmak mode functions similarly to the battle royale survival mode, requiring players to scavenge for resources and loot. However, keep in mind that returning safely through extraction points is crucial, as it allows you to retain and keep the loot and weapon mods you have obtained. Failing to do so means losing everything you’ve earned during the mission.
