Skate 4, also known as Skate, is EA’s upcoming title and is considered a reboot of the beloved franchise. Development of the game has been ongoing since 2020, and fans have been eagerly waiting for a release date. However, EA has yet to unveil an exact release date for Skate 4. 

While fans eagerly await the official release, the expansion of playtesting phases suggests that the game is still actively being developed. While some of its features in the early build sparked controversy from fans, EA remains open about the developments of the beloved title. 

Does Skate 4 Have Early Access?

While a release date for Skate 4 is yet to be announced, EA assured fans that the game will have an early access launch sometime in 2025. Community speculations claim that an announcement about the game’s release might be unveiled during the Summer Game Fest 2025. However, these are not confirmed, so take this information with a grain of salt. We’ll just have to wait for EA’s official announcement sometime in the future.

In the meantime, if you want to take a peek at the game’s development, you can join playtesters for the game called Skate Insiders. 

How To Join Skate Alpha Test?

For those who want to check out the game in its early build, EA has provided an option to join the Skate Insiders. They are a group of playtesters that will help polish the game by providing feedback. Here is how you can join:

  • Visit the official EA page for the Skate playtesting.
  • Scroll down and sign up for EA Playtesting.
  • Complete the process provided. 
  • Wait for an invitation email to playtest games.

The Skate playtesting is currently only available for selected players on PC, Xbox, and PlayStation. Players who join the testing phase will get in-game exclusive rewards like a custom skateboard and stickers when the game gets a full release. 

Keep in mind that registering will not guarantee an invitation for the Skate playtesting. You must also read and understand the terms before you start testing the game. One of the conditions is that you don’t share any videos, screenshots, or stream anything in the game.
