The Tower of Transcendence is a dungeon in Dragon Quest 3 Remake. Unlike the other dungeons in the game, this one is not mandatory. This optional dungeon doesn’t have any boss at the end, but you will encounter several deadly enemies, including the Ethereal Dragon. Notably, you can find around 13 collectibles in the Tower of Transcendence, including the Words of Wisdom. The Words of Wisdom book is the top-tier item in the Tower of Transcendence, which can be used to change the vocation of any of your party members to Sage.
The Tower of Transcendence is not a hidden dungeon and can be reached by heading north of the Alltrades Abbey. Exploring a complex structure like the Tower of Transcendence is quite difficult, especially with its branching paths. How To Navigate Through the Tower of Transcendence
The Tower of Transcendence is a five-floor dungeon with many optional paths and portals to confuse your way. Although they lead to various collectibles, following each and every path is a tough job. First, let’s start simply by walking through the main path. Don’t worry about the optional ones and the collectibles, as they will be covered in the sections below.
First, enter the 1st floor and turn left, then continue along the way. Next, head to the upper-left stairs to reach the 2nd floor. After that, take the path along the tightrope to cross the gap and reach the other end. Once there, head downstairs to return to the 1st floor. Finally, take the blue glowing portal to be transported to another section.
You will find three staircases there. Ignore the remaining two as of now and take up the middle one to reach the top floors. Now you are on the eastern section of the 2nd floor.
Again, you will notice two staircases in front of you. Take the one on the south to reach the 3rd floor. Follow the successive staircases to reach the 4th floor and then the 5th floor. You will find another tightrope there; follow the path to reach the western building end. Now, head downstairs to the 4th floor to find a chest. Open the chest to obtain the Battle Fork.

Where To Find Words of Wisdom in Tower of Transcendence
By now, you might be wondering where the Words of Wisdom book is. Since it is the highlight of the Tower of Transcendence, it is hidden off the main path and can be discovered by exploring one of the optional paths.
First, proceed to the fifth floor until you reach the tightrope. Next, while crossing the tightrope, carefully look for the red flag marking the midway point. At this point, instead of continuing to the other end, jump off. As a result, you will land in the middle section of the 4th floor. Finally, from there, jump again from the collapsed roof to reach the 3rd floor.
Now, get to the 2nd floor by heading downstairs. Then, head right to find a small room with a chest. Yes, you guessed it right… that’s our treasure: the “Words of Wisdom” book. Open the chest to get the “Words of Wisdom” book. Use this invaluable item at the Alltrades Abbey when interacting with Abbot to turn your party members into Sage.
