Bravery in Dynasty Warriors Origins lets you unleash powerful Battle Arts, and here is everything you need to know about it.
On your way to glory in Ancient China in Dynasty Warriors Origins, you must keep in mind several combat mechanics, both simple and complex. Bravery is a counter that you must keep track of at all times since you will need it to unleash powerful Battle Arts.
Battle Arts can make or break a battle for you, and effectively using them requires a proper understanding of Bravery. In this article, we will explain what Bravery is in Dynasty Warriors Origins and how you can effectively use it.
What is Bravery in Dynasty Warriors Origins?
Bravery, or Bravery Points is/are consumed to perform special Battle Arts in Dynasty Warriors Origins. These are small hexagon shapes that you can find at the bottom of your screen just above your health bar. Normally, these appear orange in color.
You can consider this to be very similar to the Mana system in games like Black Myth: Wukong, where you could use Mana to perform Spells. The idea and mechanic are the same, and you use a certain number of Bravery Points to perform a Special Battle Art in Dynasty Warriors Origins.
Unlike mainstream games where Mana is a continuous meter, Bravery appears as points. Each point is a hexagon, and using up a Battle Art consumes a specific number of points. The amount of Bravery used depends on the cost of the Battle Art that you want to use. Normally, the more powerful a Battle Art, the more Bravery it consumes. As such, you will need to know how to build Bravery during a fight effectively.
How to Build Bravery in Dynasty Warriors Origins
Once you perform a Battle Art, you will consume a specific amount of Bravery. However, these do not recharge over time normally. Luckily, you can regain or build Bravery easily during a fight.
Here are some ways in which you can restore or build Bravery during a fight in Dynasty Warriors Origins:
- Landing attacks on opponents.
- Getting more KOs during a fight.*
- Parrying your opponent’s attacks.
- Picking up Nectar Water dropped by opponents (uncommon drop).
You can also recover some Bravery by using consumable items. However, this is not a reliable method since consuming during a fight is not ideal.
*Landing KOs on opponents using Battle Arts does not reward you with any Bravery, since you consume Bravery while performing said Battle Arts.
How to Increase Bravery in Dynasty Warriors Origins
Initially, you will start off with four Bravery Points only. While this is restrictive, the Battle Arts you have access to at this point have a maximum cost of three Bravery Points. As you progress through the main story and increase your overall level, the maximum Bravery limit gradually increases. At level 20, you will have a total of seven Bravery Points in Dynasty Warriors Origins, which is a significant boost over the initial four available.
Tips to Effectively Manage Bravery in Dynasty Warriors Origins
Here are some tips to effectively manage your Bravery Points in Dynasty Warriors Origins:
- Make sure to always have at least one Bravery Point in stock.
- During battles, focus on the smaller enemies. They serve as excellent fodder to build up your Bravery. You can use a major Battle Art on a main boss, and then knock out some of the fodder enemies to rebuild Bravery. Repeat this process.
- Use Battle Arts only on the main bosses as much as you can, since they are tough to take down. Refrain from expending any Bravery Points on the fodder enemies. However, you should use your discretion to break this tip if and when necessary.
- Keep an eye out for Nectar Drops and pick them up to easily restore some Bravery.
