Save your time with these Waymark locations that let you fast-travel around the map in the new Dynasty Warriors Origins.
Fast Traveling in Dynasty Warriors Origins (DWO) can save you a lot of time. You can surely travel manually in the overworld. It’s a fun mechanic that several RPGs before this Koei Tecmo game have had. But it’s still not as fast as teleporting to a province, of course.
Dynasty Warriors doesn’t automatically unlock locations for you to spawn by default. Instead, you have to unlock these fast travel points known as Waymark(ers) in the game. How do you do so? Well, that’s what we are here to tell you.
Unlocking Waymarkers in Dynasty Warriors Origins
The “map” in the game will show different provinces and Waymarkers (if you have unlocked any). As you will be able to notice in the image above, there is a stone structure marked with a golden stone icon. This is a Waymark. These Waymarkers will act as your Fast Travel points in DWO.
Even if you travel the world in the Overworld and explore a new province, you won’t directly earn the right to teleport there the next time. That’s not how it works in this game. Instead, once you see a specific stone structure standing out in the open world, approach and activate it to unlock the Waymark. This will enable fast travel in that area.
Open the map (not the Overworld) and select the unlocked Waymark that you wish to travel to. The game will then teleport you to that location without any charge! I know fast travel is usually free, but some RPGs cost you, so I just wanted to make it clear that you won’t have to pay anything for this travel.
You can perform this action from anywhere in the Overworld. However, if you are standing close to an unlocked Waymark, you can also interact with it for the same.
All Fast-Travel Points in DWO
The world of Dynasty Warriors Origins has a total of 7 fast-travel locations for you to unlock and use throughout the map. These are as follows:
- Ji Province
- Jing Province
- Liang Province
- Sili Province
- Yan Province
- You Province
- Yu Province
The above-mentioned Waymarkers might seem fewer in number, but I think they are perfectly scattered throughout the overworld, considering the size of the map. The game can’t throw away exploration at the cost of quick travel, and hence introducing seven travel points is probably an optimal choice.
